I rented a couple of blue movies for H and I to enjoy over my birthday weekend. I rented "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Caligula". Unbearable was right! The sex was better in "Basic Instinct". Malcom McDowell was interesting, but the nudity was like furniture and the sex wasn't particulary sexy. Anyone have any suggestions for movies with quality acting and erotic sex scenes? I do not want films that are excuses for sex. Many of the films on the shelf behind the green door (the adult section is actually behind a green door ) were of "Girls Gone Wild" quality. I like my sex on celluloid in context of a good story.
I don't mind the sun sometime
The images it shows
I can taste you on my lips
And smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and Sugar
And softly spoken lies
You never know just how you look
Through someone elses eyes

Hi Nymph, Kudos for trying "blue movies" with the spouse. I've had no luck with that here,
Again try at Blowfish. They have listings for movies under different categories from "just smut" to adult movies with actual plot and acting. They don't just carry everything, they review the movies prior to listing them.
Another approach you can try is adult romanitic comedies. Try with the British comedy "Coupling" it's one of the few sit-coms I actually laugh at. Also I advise not watching while eating, unless you want to clean the TV screen, .
Scott -Who does watch movies without spacecraft and nudity in them.

CN, Try movies made by Candida Royalle, under the Femme Productions. She makes "blue movies" from a woman's perspective and they are pretty hot. They are "adult" films, but not like most of them. The ones my wife and I like best are "Eyes of Desire, Part 2" and "One Size Fits All". You can find them at www.royalle.com In more "mainstream" movies, 9 1/2 weeks is pretty hot.
My W and I enjoyed In Search of the Snow Leopard. Her preference for blue movies leans towards full-length (as opposed to ten-minute clips) with an plot other than getting laid.
CN... I agree with you about Unbearable being unbearable...definitely not sexy and depressing. H and I liked it, though, not from an erotic POV, but because it made the point that we had better get our act together bc you never know what's around the corner.
I'm interested to hear what others suggest...I really haven't gotten the tingles from many movies, although a few I have found interesting. For a BDSM twist, Secretary with James Spader was fun to watch.
My favorite erotic movie is "Damage" with Juliette Binoche and Jeremy Irons. It's about obsession and NO ONE does obsession better than Jeremy Irons. The sex scenes are VERY passionate and erotic. The ending is a catastrophe.
Roger Ebert gave it four stars when it came out in 1993. Here's his review: Damage
I was once suduced by a woman (not my W) who showed me the movie, Cousin Cousine. It's a French film from the '70s that shows an affair getting started at a wedding. Without my even realizing what was happening, I was getting hot while watching the movie, and then ...
I'm totally a wet blanket when watching movies. Just about any romantic movie makes me want to squeeze my W; but she isn't similarly affected.
Have your man sit on top of the washing machine while you have sex (you on top, with your legs wrapped around him). Can also work with a woman with a dildo and her partner wrapping around her.
The vibrations carry through his penis, turning him into a wonderful vibrator. For the best results, select the cotton cycle. It's a warm wash so his butt won't get cold, plus it has the longest, fastest spin. Good clean fun.
