Well, my weight dipped below 180 for the first time in easily 5 years. I know how it happened: eating fruits, shovelling snow and xc skiing, but what I don't understand is why my stomach isn't shrinking. It seems the rest of me is doing all the shrinking .
Blood pressure is rarely over 140/90 these days. One result (cause?) is that I'm much less tense over many things. W and I realize that we need to work together to keep the kids in line. One author I read said that the men are much more likely to escalate an argument than the woman. He's right (though in our case, W is much more likely to spark it.) I've made a point to try not to let things get out of hand, and so far it's working.
Our marriage is out of the ER, but still hospitalized. I can honestly say that lack of sex is no longer the biggest problem in my life (It was, in the sense that it preoccupied all my thoughts and energy.) No one thing has taken its place, but the thing I'm working on most is increasing energy, efficiency and happiness.
Paul, whose Illini have a tough battle at Wisconsin
Hey Paul, Have you ever done any weight training? My sister was lauging at me today because I was whining about hating exercise so much. I am working myself up towards it, tho.
Today, D5 and I rode bikes and my legs actually felt tired. Then I did "airplane" with D2 (you know..lay on floor and hold kid up in air with legs) and they were really getting sore. That is the pathetic state my bod is in. LOL
So I have a ways to go but I just keep looking wistfully at my closet full of clothes and the desire to get back in them is stronger than the desire to not exercise. How about you...
Bikes are not really an option with all the snow, but I get your point.
There is so much one can do, and such variety, that I have no excuse getting bored. Wife hasn't noticed, but I report frequently, especially regarding blood pressure.
Today is her birthday, and she's not enthusiastic about it. She worked a flight so she could get some birthday pay, but I wish she were here. *sigh again *
It's no wonder California has so many vegetarians. The vegatables are good there!
