Interestingly, I've read that families with a special needs child (or children) have higher divorce rates. I guess that shouldn't be suprising.
Overall, I think my kids are the most wonderful, amazing, fabulous children on the planet, but they've also been quite challenging (i.e. health and learning issues). They needed a great deal of time and attention, there was no alternative. That took time away from the marriage, and added a lot of stress. Especially when they were younger.
Well... now I just need to get my son through this... there's always something... PMA!!!
There is no arriving, ever. It is all a continual becoming.
