Just a quick note here. While the A is often a rejection of the role restrictions, it is also a response to a situation where needs are not being met. We must never lose sight of the fact that together, H and W, we created the lifestyle that we lived. It was not meeting at least one persons needs. While the quote is bang on in many ways it lacks the realization that something was indeed missing. It was not just role restrictions. Was it a lack of romance? Was it a lack of feeling listened to? Was it a lack of together time? All those things lead to where the S looks elsewhere. Yes, all those role obligations can be boulders blocking the path but we must now find ways to remove some of those blocks, even if our S's have stepped off the path for a breather!
