Glad you are going to counseling. I started before MC, and it kept me sane. I got to say everything I needed to, got to process it, had help working on ME, had a person advocating for ME. If this C doesn't gel w/you, don't write C off, just find a different person.
I'd been to C about a year or so before all of this b/c of panic attacks, and I found it so helpful.

I used to get panic attacks too - they came out of nowhere in 97 and had me in a grip for a couple of years. Beta Blockers helped, then they just went away. I suppose it's anxiety I get a lot, I'm a natural born worrier. This can be a good thing cos it does mean I'm usually well prepared but like most things in life if you take it too far it's not so good. If anyone else out there has low self esteem I'd be really interested to hear from them if they are working through it - I'm on jenjamhelp@yahoo.co.uk, I check it about once a week though as it's not my "real" email address.

I agree with SD - we need our friends here to hang around after things start getting better - those of us still in the trenches need the reminder that this DB stuff really does work!
Plus, of course, we care about you and want to know how you are doing!
