Maybe one way to find a good middle ground for change is to re-clarify HD and LD. Instead of High and Low Desire, we could look at is as Higher and Lower Desire?
- JJ. Yes I like this better. Actually, as I was reading your post I think maybe we might want to think about shifting away from such an distinct one versus the other, high versus low demarcation altogether.
Instead of HD/LD if force to have to use a lable I would prefer to use something a little more fluid...no distinct one versus other representation. No real negative vibe involved in the High=good/achievement; Low=bad/poor performance.
Like perhaps E-F.
Ebb and Flow.
The LD is the Ebb and the HD, Flow at an particular point in time within the R (or tidal chart lol).
In addition to not really engendering any negativity for either state...E-F also connotes that one person may shift to either E-F at various times throughout the R and it is quite natural and normal in human nature.
I know I have shifted between Ebb and Flow and the thought of ever being labeled as LD makes me cringe...
Probably the same way a young child might cringe with another negative label with the same initialed namesake:
LD= Learning Disabled. Blech.
