Ever try a dab of honey into the spoon of pbutter?
Keeps it from being as sticky to eat and adds sweet.
Don't know if you're staying away from it or not, but honey grown and sold in your immediate area is supposed to help avoid seasonal allergy symptoms because you are getting some local pollens in honey. Was news to me.

I have never heard that - and I do like honey, in very small doses. I will try that, thanks! I wouldn't mind if it helped my allergies as well.
Now, to see if I have any honey in the cupboard. I also looked at the calorie count in avacados (again, I don't think I've even tried one) - wowee!!!!!
I am not staying away from any food I really like, I just stick with smaller portions. But I do know that PB is healthy, so I'm trying to find a way to fit it in and not gag at the same time.
Wonka suggested I stop by to ask you to take a peek at my latest thread (link in sig). I've just been diagnosed with HPV DNA, high risk strain. This is the second time I've had it. I got HPV 13 years ago and had laser surgery. By the time I knew I had it, it was really bad and I needed the surgery everywhere. It was so painful that I ended up getting vulvodynia, which wasn't diagnosed for 10 years. Anyway, I had colposcopies every three months, and then had three abnormal paps in a row, so had a cone biopsy. I had pre-cancer, but it hadn't gone deeper than that. Since then, all my yearly paps have been fine till now.
I know that the worst case scenario is that I'll need another cone biopsy. Do you have any idea how likely that is? My last normal pap (ThinPrep) was only a year ago. My colpo appt is March 3rd, so I won't know more till then.
I just feel like this is the last thing I need right now, KWIM?
Thanks so much for reading, Nicola

Nicola - Don't know how likely that is, no. It really depends on what they find. I do know, though, that there is some research on folic acid and other B vitamins reversing early changes on Pap smears - so it couldn't hurt to take, say, 800 or 1,000 mg of folic acid (the amount in many prenatal vitamins) along with say a B-50 complex and a multivitamin between now and then.
Good luck. (Hey - maybe you should call OW and tell her she ought to be checked? That might cool her ardor for your H!)
Hey all - I'll be leaving tomorrow for a few days in the Carribean with my H
I've never been there before. It's a long trip from San Diego - flying to Asia was easier! But it will be really great to have some alone time with my H.
I'll be back in a week. Take care. And if anything comes up while I'm gone, just ask yourself - What Would Ellie Do?
KML that's for the thought on the night terrors. I do take him to the bathroom. That was my first thought when these started. I can get him to urinate, but the screaming continues. sometimes for another 20 minutes. It is totally random. last night both of the twins decided that I needed to be wet. First twin A came to get me to go potty, and missed, wet feet and carpet no big deal. next Twin B came to get a cuddle at 6 am, then proceeded to wet himself, me and my bed. Ok that was a hi-jack. Sorry. I hope your trip is fabulous.

Thanks for the advice Ellie! He actually broke up with OW a few months ago, but now he'll have to call her to tell her the good news...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I hope you have/had a great trip!
Nicola

Ellie I know that you are off enjoying yourself. but it just dawned on me that you are my medical expert and may have the answer to my question, I just posted this in my thread. My H, the paramedic, continues to refer to some chick that "DFO'd" outside his apt door. Anybody know what DFO stands for?
Hi Ellie, Great to see you are still here. Helping others. I may have a Valentines Day Massacure of my own in the works. I know you just left for the Caribbean, I wonder what Island, I spent 9 yrs of my life there on St Thomas, St Croix and Puerto Rico. Anyway I'm starting a thread in Hopefulness Called Valentines Day Revisited Love to hear advice from you Ellie and all of you. Any friend of Ellies besides being given supportive advice, is also a friend of mine

I'm just popping in to say 'hi' to everyone on this thread -- this was such a wonderful thread title that I couldn't possibly resist!
Those of you with weight issues due to medical conditions -- wow, do I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat ... and it is *so* annoying when people who really know how bad things are (like my mum!) *still* feel the need to comment on my diet, exercise, etc. ... all of which is in the good-to-excellent range, and even my calorie/fat intake is on the lower side. Grrr.
Anyhow ... thanks for the inspiring stories here in this thread. :-)
