Karen, MrHP likes sex and he LOVES it if he doesn't have to do anything to get it going. So me ambushing him and "putting him to bed early" afterwards would be a dream come true for him. I think it would work. He likes his "me" time but is not overly protective of it. In addition, he doesn't have regular programs he watches on TV. I wouldn't do it on a night when he has rented a movie, I would choose wisely. The only thing I can think of that would bother him would be sweets. He likes his sweets. Likes to take a shower and sit down with a huge bowl of ice cream or cookies, etc. Hmmm, the plan might need a little tweaking.
I'd be mightily offended if I tried to seduce him and he responded to my sexy body laying across our bed with, "Not now, dear, I haven't had my ice cream yet."
I'll work on it this weekend. Definitely has promise!
I swear, as long as he doesn't have to initiate, he'd go along with anything.
Then I suggest having that bowl of ice cream sitting right on your naked body! He can have his ice cream, you can chat for a while and then get down to business. OR....you can go with the messier option of wearing the ice cream.
In any case, your H is easier in this area than mine whereas mine will stay up late for sex but complain about being tired the next day. The similarity is that as long as the W's are doing the initiating then it is fine.
Mellanie, In my house doing dishes, laundry, cooking, reading bedtime stories and balancing the checkbook besides the "traditional" guy things of hauling garbage, recycling, mowing and shovelling snow does not get me laid any more than a max of twice a month. So that blows that theory.
Scott -Who is definitly ready for Friday even though he had last week off.

I have to tell you that it has been more than 2 years of not having a normal married life, and that I don't know what would work for me, but I do know that some women don't appreciate what they have--and complaining to me about not getting enough sex is pointless.
You want to talk about not having sex, this forum is as close as I get to having sex, so thank you all for your time
Each experience in life has formed me, become part of me, made me stronger.
My headache is finally going away. I don't normally turn it down for any reason, but I've had migraines my whole life and they are baaad. I even went into the hospital for it when I was a kid but the final diagnosis was "Yep she gets migraines", lol. Usually I will have sex anyway but I wasn't feeling that close to him emotionally so it was a total strikeout. Plus, he was clock watching pretty bad, spazzing about the time, so I knew he wasn't that invested in the idea.
Tonight should be a good time, if I can get rid of the headache! The weather and being dehydrated from nursing is not helping. Today I am taking the kids to a local state park to let them swim in a lake with a man-made 'beach', so I will have to be careful to drink enough.
I am looking forward to seeing my H and loving on him tonight.
Oh and Mel, thank you for saying that he sounds like a great guy. He is. As they say on Mary Poppins, Practically perfect in every way.
HP, I was about to mention that you might be dehydrated. MrsGGB used to get gawdawful migranes, especially when she was a kid. A few years back, I found a study article saying that many migraines are brought on by mild to moderate dehydration. SInce then, anytime MrsGGB gets a headache, lots of clear liquids seem to clear it up within a couple hours. I still have to remind her to drink when we're outside. She doesn't like water much, and is addicted to diet pepsi (a 12 pack a day), which is a diuretic and therefore does nothing for keeping her hydrated. I see that you probably already know about the link between dehydration and migraines, so I'll shut up.
GGB, I drink a ton of water a day and the only diuretic I drink is one cuppa coffee and one half beer a day. Usually I drink about 2 liters a day. However, Wed I took the girls to the zoo and didn't drink as much as I should have, then we went to the county fair that night--I know, I'm crazy but we'd been housebound for the last week due to the heat and the high was 80 degrees that day, so I crammed it all in. The baby nursed like crazy cause SHE was out all day, so it probably played a big part. It's hard to make up that extra fluid loss when someone else is stealing all of it away from you!
I have never been able to pinpoint why I get them. Sometimes it can be something innocent like putting a ponytail in and bam! there it is. Suckers last for a couple days, too. My sister and mom get them too so it is probably something hereditary. You know, something I've never done is get a prescription for them. I'm not one for drugs. If anyone has any good migraine drug advice, let er rip.
Gotta go get ready for our beach adventure. You working dads really miss out on some fun times. Those are my shades I will need for the adventure today.
