Here's hoping you pass your CTscan with flying colors. I'm praying that all this testing yeilds an answer that is easily treated.

Just heard from doctor. Biopsy is fine; Ct scan showed pockets of fluid that are consistent with endometriosis. The OB saw that I had endo while performing the laparoscopy but said it was not significant enough to be worried about. The pockets of fluid (these are way up in my body, btw) were supposed to have been eliminated by the lap. The fact that they are back within weeks of the procedure has me feeling downhearted.
I guess it's back to the OB, who only THOUGHT he was "done with me".
What a whacko I must sound like to these fellas. The pain has now been eliminated during the walking/sitting part of my day and now only rears its ugly head during vaginal penetration. I have the airtight excuse that LDW's worldwide are looking for and I'm desperate to get rid of it.
HP, I worked for a group of fantastic female OB/GYNs. It might help you to get a female perspective on your medical condition.

You wanna know why I stay with this ob? Because he is tres efficient. I mean, you walk in, sign in and they take you back. There is no sitting in the waiting room for an hour before your name is even called. He is a good doctor but he has lost his patience with me. Methinks he views me as a nymphomaniac/hypochondriac and general pita.
I am tough as nails when it comes to pain so unless this was really affecting my quality of life I wouldn't even be bothering with it.
However, it might be time to get an opinion from another gynecologist. With all the little ones, I absolutely hate taking them to a doctors office to wait interminably or, worse, get a babysitter for them and then I sit in the waiting room and fret about how long it's taking. Oh well, like I said, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Honeypot I got yer hot pockets, I got yer polly pockets, I got yer fluid pockets...sigh.
Wow, and here I thought doctors hated lawyers. Go figure.
So any ladies want to chime in and say whether endo causes painful sex? Come on, I'm going to need some additional evidence besides the ever-vigilant Dr. Hairdog.
Naw, Hairy, you called it. That may be what's causing it. The doctor didn't seem concerned with the amount of endo that I allegedly have but what the heck. What kind of person just manufactures pockets of fluid (gag) for no reason? I'm only 34 for goodness' sakes!
I come bearing a tray filled with whatever goodies could make you feel better...
One of my really good friends is a HD woman whose endometriosis prevented her from having children. She's a high school teacher, so I think she gets her doses during the day. LOL.
Anyway, she said until they could get the symptoms under control, sex was VERY painful. There were phases when it was just uncomfortable, but she enjoyed the entire scene so she decided she'd put up with the pain to get all the other benefits.
She's now in her mid 40s and menopause has become more of an issue. I can relate, and I can tell you that nothing is wrong with my drive...
I expect that you won't be any different than she was, so something tells me that the pain is just going to be something you decide to push aside? You're an awfully committed gal to the cause. If anyone can rise above it, it's you.
Hugs!

HP, I know nothing about endo, so I googled and found some interesting things: It causes infertility and may not be painful. It can cause painful intercourse. Hmm, sounds familiar, eh? here's where I got my info Hope this helps.
