Hairy,
Somber or no, your imaginary convos with W crack me up.

Could I get my husband to listen to that? Heck no. It stinks of manipulation, for starters. Hell I wouldn't listen to it, for that matter.

However, if the title of the book was "Wild Stallions for Christ--How to Ride Your Way into Heaven" I'd be on his Sweetie List for sure!

Karen,

Or how about a gift certificate? Give your LD spouse a beautiful card stating:

The bearer is entitled to one session of passionate lovemaking raunchy sex and/or tender carresses with (your name here) This certificate is only good (name a date).
What the heck, it might be good for a laugh and who knows??? He/she might take you up on it!

Paul, whose only New Year's resolution is mu.

Paul,

Lovely plan. Over a year ago I gave H a gift cetificate entitling him to dessert served a deaux while taking a bubble bath in the tub in our bathroom. He has yet to redeem.

I received a bunch of silly gifts at work of stuff like Kama Sutra cards, chocolate body butter and the like. I put them in a basket by our bed for a while and he put in our closet!!!

He seems to see that kind of thing as crass or pressure or I don't know WTF.

Karen

PS Good resolution. I am meditating on such a concept even as we speak.
