Thanks for the well-wishes...we're heading off tomorrow AM for a week in Maine. We both have relaxation on our minds!
h finished school yesterday -- handed in his paper, had an interview for a school position and then took a final! What a day for him! Met him for drinks and dinner. We toasted his success and commitment. He seemed happy and relieved.
We got up early this AM (not easy after giant drinks!) and went hiking. Then we drove to see his parents and spent some hours driving around the town he lived in when he was a kid -- showed me the paths he used to take, trees he used to hide in, the first place he ever at lunch and paid the bill himself, etc. I love this man and his ability and desire to share himself with me. I can't believe how long it took me to see (hear) the way he communicates and shares.
I'll look forward to catching up with all of you when I get back!

Well...I'm back from vacation and back to work -- trying to catch up with all of you (oh, yah, I'm at WORK...should be working! )
Maine was terrific. We arrived Saturday...the place was gorgeous...not our usual "cabin on the lake" since that was already reserved...so it was an apartment complete with jacuzzi, giant tv, etc...with an ocean view!
Relaxed with a capital R -- ate with a total lack of abandon, read a TON of books, hiked every day that we could (1 day was rainy), took naps, , essentially ended up as two completely relaxed people! Got home Saturday around noon and managed to keep the relaxation going (mainly by not reading my work emails until this AM!).
Have to brag bigtime about h...I've mentioned to paper he's been busting his butt over...well, it was an entry to the "honor board" competition -- essentially each of the four honor boards use the paper to determine if they want to select you or not....well, h got selected by ALL OF THEM!!! He got the call yesterday at noon...and since you can only serve on one he got the chance to say "My preference is the Law Review" -- Getting on Law Review is a BIG DEAL and yet another stepping stone on his very successful law school path!
We went out to celebrate last night...drinks and dinner! He's back at school ALREADY this AM...got a full day planned for him!
