W was always telling me to find someone else and I told W about the ad a few months ago and my "coffee date" to show myself how easy it was to move on if I wanted. Remember the night she slugged me talking about the woman at Starbucks! I thought it was hidden, but I guess I not. She probably loved the part where I said it was important for someone to laugh and that my ideal girl would be supportive and faithful--knowing she'd get the same from me in return. She also probably loved the part that I was living at home with my three kids!
As for Father Corapi, I don't recall the teeth, but he looks about 60 with gray balding hair and has that deep Louisiana-like voice. He is a really dynamic preacher.
Btw, The night with all the in-laws went well and I was in a jovial mood throughout--although I didn';t have much to say wwhen they were talking about others who were divorced and local poltics, which could easily lead to a discussion of OM.
Hi Merrick, I just saw Father Carapi on Tv and yes he is the same guy.Now that is weird.I watch him because his voice is calming.I listen to him at night if he is on tv to fall asleep to.
I always listen to preachers and such at night because I can't sleep at night.
I hope your wife doesn't go sluging you tonight now that she has been reminded.
I'm glad your night with the in laws went well.I would have been lost for words if I would have had to sit through the talk about divorce. My inlaws think nothing of divorce. My sister in law has been married 7 times and she is getting a divorce. And only one of her husbands died.So that means she has been divorced so many times I can hardley keep up. She is only 46 I think.
I wonder how she gets so many men to marry her.I can't even get that many men interested.LOL
Well have a good night.

What a coincidence. My live in WAW also told me to find someone. But she always checks on my cellphone to find out whether I found someone. Is not it funny? Last night I left my cellphone in the familyroom and I went to brush may teeth. When I went back to get my cellphone back, it was switched on (I switched it off before), and my W was nearby. I did not confront her and let it go.
Merrick you know all to well Im going to have to agree with Raindeer on this one. Its a set up. It would give her an excuse to divorce then. Even though I am in a no fault state my w is using it for her own guilt that I dated someone. It in some ways set her free to move on she says. I heard it all, I really wish you would find someone else, You have to move on, your obsessed, Youll be happier without me, And so on goes the list...You know the rest of the story once I did date, how the jealousy set in... Take care and KOFTGF, God Bless, Eddy
You guys are right, but that was a few months ago when I was trying some new appraoches with W. To be honest, my M is secondary right now to maintaining the fullest R with my kids as possible--and tonight entailed another distancing event.
W begins by calling my office around 4:30 ten to fifteen times without leaving a message (I rarely answer her calls and kick them to VM). She finally leaves a message saying she need to talk about something very important. Since it didn't involve the kids and I was on my way to the Yankee game and decided I'd call her when I got there--which I did.
W immediately says that she thought we agreed back in January that we were not breaking up due to OM and no one should be told that. However, someone told her that I recently said we were splitting and she was with him. Now, as many of you know, I have no fondness for OM and numerous people in my town are aware of our sitch and the time W spends with OM and my disapproval of the sitch. BUT, I have never said made the link she alleged and told her that. I said I'm not responsible for what other people said.
She answered that this is not what she heard and insteaed of taking a deep breath and looking towards Christ, I just cut off the convo and said, I really don't give a rat's a$$ about you and OM (I meant the R) and I'm just not wasting my time talking about it and hung up. Actually, not a bad response in my view given where her mind is at. I really don't give a rat's a$$ and the ball is in her court. I'm just living my life.
She's out tonight, so there's a good chance she'll come home ornery, so I'm wondering if I should start a tape recorder upon her entry.
Hey Merrick.....glad to see that you are still moving on w/your life and not too much into what W thinks/does.
You know as well as the rest that they have their "OWN" agenda and what they say to us is to help them feel less guilty (or try). My H has told me numerous times that he hopes I find someone else. Just recently he told me that when we finalize D, I can find a roommate to help w/expenses--whatever!!!!!
I don't know where their heads are but I know that I am in no way shape or form "looking" for a replacement. Especially after I sign papers. I just can't see the light yet in that concept but they obviously do.
Keep on hangin. And the religious shows, I watch em too. I watch 700 club and on Monday they were preaching about marriages and praying to save marriages. Kind of freaky. Tootles.................
My apologies for not posting on your thread. I'm writing on my own thread largely to have a contemporaneous record of my events in case I need to go to court.
W did not go on a rampgae when she got home about 12:30 last night.
Today, however, I got home early to take S9 to a Little League dinner and when i walked through the door, the phone rang. I picked up to OM, who immediately hung up. W had picked up on the other line--and then goes on about how she will not relinquish her friendships and how I should not make up stories about her R's to make me feel better about the demise of our M. This time, I refrained from any bitterness and just smiled and said, I have no control over whatever you do. She then went into how she never snoops on me, but highlighted how I was out looking for dates online. I just smiled.
Tonight, she is out with girlfriends (at least the early part of the night) and D9 once again lamented on how we never do anything as a family and how she'll miss me at the beach. I said we'll be together on weekends at the beach, BUT THEN SHE SAID--W told her that when I came out to visit, W would come back home. Well, this was a newsflash to me--I'll have to think about how I work this one sicen I was thinking about not coming at all!
Anyway, other than that all is well. Be good y'all.
You went to the Yankees game without me? Now Im really bummed. I'll get over it...Christine wasnt there was she? I'll really be pissed. KOFTGF God Bless, eddy
