That sounds good Odga. Take it slow, no expectations, focus on the friendship, lots of prayers, and let's see what happens.
You know what I used to do when I was DBing my X? Right before he arrived at my house, I would pray. I was very specific in my prayers, but didn't ask for my X to come home. I asked for strength, for clarity, for the right words, for my X to have an open heart and mind, for courage, etc... And it worked every time!
Oh, and I always said a thank you prayer later.

my prayers are very specific - but I do know that us humans have the power of choice. God can not make the WAS do anything - only try to help them see the light. And we all know that it is God's will that marriages work. My prayers are to send the Holy Spirit to work on her heart to know what is the right thing to do.

You're right. As humans, we always have the freedom to choose. It does sound like you have the right attitude about the power of prayer.
Here's another thing I used to repeat to myself -- The enemy is not welcome in my home. He can not occupy the same space as God, and God lives here! Dear Lord, please place a wall of your love around my home.
I swear to you that I could see a spiritual battle within my X (still do for that matter). Right before my eyes! It was amazing.
I only know what worked for me -- just some ideas.
