Her saying that she cares is only for easing her guilt purposes. She does not wish to come off like a cold hearted bitch. You are probably thinking that she has second thoughts, but in reality she is not.

And stay off the booze, it really helps no one if you throw a self pitty party. At least have some friends over for some laughs. Drinking alone is such a bad idea...
