Took a long hot shower (I think that's my 3rd or 4th today. Lots of long hot showers lately).
I'm questioning your level headed thought 😝 I've now convinced myself he's going to try and take the dog on Friday and it's going to become a thing. I have ZERO reason to believe this, but I've convinced myself of it none the less.

You can deal with that if it comes to that. However, you could always have some watch the dogs while he is there. Maybe take them to a doggy day care, just in case. Or maybe you have been reading my board to much and are preparing for Satan to visit.

I was thinking of that. Have a friend take them for a little bit or something. I had wanted them around so he got more of a sense of what he's missing but I dunno if that's worth the possible confrontation. Again, I'm totally making this up in my head. Nothing he's said would make me think he's going to other than he wanted Milo.

But you should be what he is missing not the dogs. I would consider it if there is an chance it could become an issue.

Agree w/ all the positive feedback. Your WH is stupid. Just dumb. Not to sound crass...but you were a pretty sweet meal ticket! lol!!

If the dogs are important...which it sounds like it...then do what you must. Also...I'm w/ you on creating scenarios in your mind. When there is NC it is my 'go to' to completely manufacture a conversation/situation in my head. Everything from EA/PA ideations to simple 'fights' over stupid comments. You're not alone, or strange in that aspect.

I do try to force myself to 'Act as if'....maybe start imagining that the 'pick up' will be without incident. "easy, breezy, beautiful, sparkles'
