I would hold my ground and not apologize (remember, you did nothing wrong), but do it in a way so you do not appear a dick.

Well said. In August of last year I was getting praised for being the perfect husband and father. Now? I'm a monster for scheduling a doctors appointment without consulting my WW first.

I'll see her tonight. I don't think I'll apologize because I don't think I did anything wrong, I will try and make her feel like I understand how she could be frustrated though.

Hi mate. I don't think you should try to make her feel anything. Just stand up for your principles. You did nothing wrong. IMO, if you start from the position that you want to tell her how she should feel you are onto a loser.

Just stand your ground. You are a good dad and that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Another sad thing is everything we do, makes our Spouses see it as control.

I love the analogy playing chess with 15 queens, if only I was excellent at playing chess. Putting in this context, I have a tiny chance of even check mating the king :-(
