Who was the first one who wanted the cats? If it was a mutual decision, then keep it. But be sure you understand that you want to keep the cats because you love them and not being petty.

Okay. So does that reply sound assertive enough? Kind but firm?

From what she's told me she's working two jobs, gets up early and comes home late.
From what I know she spends just about every weekend with the OC away from her apartment.
She used to just dump litter into the litter boxes and then just throw it all away after 2-3 months without ever scooping it.
To me that means she'll hardly be spending time with or taking care of the cats.
She would however probably give more of what little time she does spend with them actively petting them for hours.
I give them some TLC but I don't chase them down and dote on them.
In my opinion, I would have to say staying with me would be best for the cats.
BTW: I still haven't responded to her texts yet. I figure it can wait a bit longer until I can calmly respond.

Would you rather be rubbed for a few hours (and by few I mean like <2 out of the 168 hrs in an Earth week) or have companionship approaching something closer to 80 hrs in the typical Earth week, TLC when you want it, access to fresh food and water, and a clean place to piss & [censored]?

Again, based on what you wrote, it sounded about even. If you're getting upset, then you shouldn't ask what our thoughts are if you're not going to like a different answer than what you're expecting.
It's like when you asked (sarcastically) if we still had our WAS's things at home months after they've left. And I answered 'yes' (not because I didn't allow her to take it, but because she just didn't pick them up) and you jumped all over that answer for some reason.
You still haven't worked on that.

I was trying to be polite the first time I explained the situation.
I listed 3 negatives and 1 positive about her.
Conversely, those same points equate to 1 negative and 3 positives for me.
I didn't seem to get the point across so I put it in terms anyone could understand.
I would say "sorry if that upsets you" but I really don't care if it does or not.
"You still haven't worked on that"
I could write a big section about how that phrase makes no sense "based on what you wrote" and how you're expecting me to think about the posting you just made so I can figure out what I'm supposed to be working on, and then I'd counter that you did the exact opposite of that when you read what I posted but that would be waste of my time.

I was merely trying to clarify my statements to help alleviate any ignorance.
