You guys are certifiably nuts and it's funny as hell. Barb, wasn't your moniker here a long time ago Travel Barb? LOL, I'm not taking that crown from you.

I'd love to see you. How about next time we plan something? My D20's BF has never been to the HHOF, so we're heading there before heading down to Oakville. OR, if you're in Oakville, we can definitely do dinner Friday night. Or maybe we could meet for dinner Friday night before we head to Oakville?

Kat, it's because my idiotic family lives all over hell's half acre. And since I'm the one who gets stir crazy, it's really easy for me to push that button. I think better when I get away. And funny enough, earlier this year I was thinking, "This might be the year where I travel only once." (D17 and I are definitely planning a trip to NY for parent's weekend in October.) So then D20 threw out her wish that I drive her back so we could have an adventure, and I was sold in 2 seconds. LOL. And she said she definitely wants to have dinner with you, so we're all good!

Gineen, I'd LOVE to have you! Mi casa es tu casa. I've got room for you and Gabby. So consider it an open invitation.

My travel today is limited. I'm going to the baseball game with Melissa tonight. Can't wait for that!

Okay, carry on.

And happy Easter to everyone!

Betsey

Yep - I'm Travelbarb - still am - that's my email. Always & forever.

I will get back to you on that date. Dinner time Friday is jot an easy time for me to be there. I live a couple hours north. I will be in Toronto twice between now & then but I'd really love to do it.

Hey, Bets!!! Not fair...you get to ride in M's new wheels before I do. We need to "talk"...no honor among women!

Anyway...have a ball at the ballpark with ball fans eating ball dogs! grin

Wonka,

Well, M's new wheels have not yet arrived from CA. It was undoubtedly for the best, because traffic in LoDo during ball games is kind of messy. I'd have hated for her new wheels to get dinged... but we had a fabulous night and had a quick snicker to see that we were both wearing the same jersey. She's a good egg, and a good ball game partner. We share the same baseball beliefs, lol.

Now that things are back to normal after Easter weekend, I'm trying to accomplish dual task lists that Wonder Woman might balk at, and trying to keep focused while anticipating my trip back east next week. It's kind of daunting, and when I start sorting through the tasks, it feels a little overwhelming until I just block out 20 minutes to do chunks of stuff. I have a lot of stuff to do for the house before I leave and a lot of coordination left. I'm sure it will all get done, though.

And if that wasn't enough, I got an e-mail from D17's special ed teacher that they have a late start tomorrow for everyone but juniors (so the juniors can take the ACT test). So now I have to figure out a Plan B until 11 am tomorrow. It's just not a good time to be doing that.

No dating possibilities to report. It's actually out of the question for me right now.

Happy Tuesday to all-
Betsey

Uggh! 2014 is really turning into the pits of a year. My yearly trip to the dermatologist has turned up at least two certain areas of Basal Cell cancer spots and a potential third, all on my face. Going in for biopsies tomorrow. At least Basal Cell is a fairly benign type of skin cancer, but having to get Mohs surgery on three separate areas of my face is not going to be pleasant or pretty. I'm going to look like someone mugged me by the time I'm done.

Then last night it appears I pulled a groin muscle so I'm going to have to get an appointment to make sure that's what my problem is. I think I did it when lifting my dog to put her in the car. It didn't hurt at the time, but about 2 hours later I started to feel it and today I'm limping around like Festus.

Finally, the ex has decided to go into pissy mode with me about stuff there is no need to be pissy about. I have a hunch it has to do with me having a steady girlfriend who is slowly being introduced to our past mutual friends. Things were absolutely fine between us until I recently started the relationship.

Other than all of that I'm life is just ducky! :-)

I had a basal cell on my cheek. After it was cut out, I had a huge piece of gauze over half of my face! Quite a shock I must say. I was told I had cancer one week and then due to a cancellation, I had my cancer removed less than a week later!

I never even liked being out in the sun! So you can do this. You will have to redress it every day but that can be done too. Best wishes.

So biopsies were done last Friday - I highly recommend everyone avoid hyperdermic needle sticks in the tip of the nose at all costs. The doctor even apologized before she stuck me - bottomline not fun and I am really hoping that that one comes back as just a skin bump or something. I'm not at all thrilled with the idea of having mohs surgery on the tip of my nose. The forehead one is almost certainly basal cell, the doc agreed about that. Results should be back sometime early next week.

Kat the last time I had one done on the top of my head they bandaged me up like I had a full head war injury. It was quite comical.

The ex is still being quite pissy, but I really don't care other than the fact that her attitude is really not warranted, necessary or helpful. At least I rarely have to see her. 90% of our communication is text/email. :-)

BA 20 years ago I got a graf. The doc took tissue from the top of my palete and sawed it to my gum. He was a Japanese surgeon. I remember him bowing and apologizing for what was to come. Yeap that hurt
