I wish Mrbond was around to give me one of his advices

I am so frustrated, I dont know how to proceed with this and I am not being receiving advice from this I dont want to react impulsive and ending responding her email without hearing your opinions first anybody out there who can help me on this?

Hi Ye21, did you read Starsky's post regarding this issue? He gave you some very good advice.

I did, but I dont have a lawyer due to being mad broke... And I feel I dont want to follow that path when I believe we can still talk as she propossed dont you think?

I really don't care if you follow my advice or not. I don't know you, and I won't be offended. But I'm only here because I successfully DB'd my marriage and reconciled with my wife, and want to try to help others avoid some of the mistakes I made, and maybe learn a little faster from the things I did that worked.

I would suggest to you that when you learn to stop operating based on your FEELINGS, and instead by what WORKS, you will begin to be much more effective.

Leading with your feelings is what got both you AND your wife into this mess.

I don't have a lawyer and don't want to lie to her.

So the email you sent me first will be more appropriate since I dont have a lawyer?
Also would it be better no to meet her in person sine just 6 days ago when we meet she was so incredibly upset and accusing me of trying to screw her? I mean what could really change in 6 days that now she wants to be civil about it...?

You need to get a lawyer ASAP, ye. Your wife left you, told you her clear intention to file for divorce, and began tying it to your immigration status more than TWO MONTHS ago. Yet you haven't even hired an attorney?

I know you say you don't have the money, but there are public (free) attorneys that you can see, both regarding immigration issues and also divorce issues. Did you ever look into that?

You are now more than 2 months into a battle against an adversary who is both armed and armored, and you are neither. Instead, you are focused on your feelings, and trying to stick your head in the sand regarding your wife's intentions.

PLEASE seek legal counsel TODAY. It doesn't mean that YOU have to initiate anything, but you DO need to know what your rights, responsibilities, opportunities and potential threats are!

If you haven't seen an attorney, how are you sure when you say "they cannot deport me if she divorces me" ? Who advised you of that?

Ok I will check with an attorney tomorrow to see the chances...

I know for sure they can't deported me because I already asked an inmigration lawyer before all this happened.

I agree with Starsky, knowledge is everything - you really need to know where you stand with this, you don't have to take action straight away. Your W has clearly gathered info & so should you - you need to protect YOURSELF now.

I guess I am scared for all this process and my ego still gets in the middle of all this, trying to control the outcome of all this, I am meeting with my still W at least legally tomorrow, listen to what she wants to say about this financial matters and go with the mentality of not controlling the outcome...at the end its going to happen whatever God wants.
