Today I took a step, I received a letter from Coned asking to pay $304 that W agreed to pay from her pocket when she left the house....
So I sent her this email:
Hello wife
I received a letter from Coned saying that the past account closed on december 31st has a balance of $304.97 own to them, if its not paid by march 20th they will send this to a collection agency.
I believe we agree on you paying that bill. There is also other mail in my apartment for you.
And she responded back this:
Hi husband
Thank you for letting me know. We need to meet this week to discuss several financial matters and your immigration status. Please let me know if you think you can do this and if we can be civil about it. Thank you.
So now I am a little anxious and would like to receive some advice from you guys.
Waiting for your responses and opinions, it seems to me like she at least its more calm...

Advice after you sent the email? What about your immigration status? If she divorces you can you be deported? Ye21 it may be helpful for you to post your replies to her here prior to sending them. Once you hit the send button it's kinda late, don't you think?
If you feel a strong impulse to react use that The "S.S.T.A. techniques". It stands for Stop, Slow Down, Think and Act. When you act it is because you have rehearsed carrying out an action plan. It is thought of well before.

Nop, I am looking for advice of what and how should I handle the conversation once I see her in person, the email I sent her was necessary to deal strictly with business from my part... My immigration status its out of her business, I am taking care of that matter and I don't think she has not decision over it... I am waiting for my green card from uscis and I am already a permanent resident of USA. I can't be deported if she divorces me.
I really don't understand why she want to talk about it, besides the fact that she told me in the past to inform her when I received my green card so she can serve me the D papers. ( I feel that I am affraid she is following this path so she can divorce me and that scares me since I tough things could improve and not ending D)

I spent time thinking about sending the email this whole week, and consulted with friends prior to do it, and since one of my 180s its taking care of my finances I strongly believed that I approached that in a benefitial way for me...

Do I meet her or I dont meet her and tell her to communicate this over email?

Do not be at her beckon call. If you DO meet with her, reply with "This week is bad for me. I'll text (or email) you early next week and we can look at what day works for both of us. I really just wanted you to be aware about the mail. Ye"
ASSUMING that your knowledge of your resident/immigration status is true, then she's really just trying to bully you into getting scared and giving her what she wants financially. But I'm no expert on immigration law.

Its true. Its funny you are the second person today who tells me that she might be trying to bully me....

I was thinking to send her an email, telling her that I can't meet this week due to been busy and tell her that we can proceed via email with those financial matters... What do you people think?

You might also reply to her "This week doesn't work for me, as I'm very busy with some important appointments that can't be moved. I really just wanted to let you know about the ConEd bill, since we had both agreed it was your responsibility. I guess it's probably best to just let our attorneys hash out the legal and financial stuff going forward."
And end it with a STATEMENT like that, NOT anything like "okay?" or anything else that seeks her approval.
