I remember by ex best friend saying that to me. When all I do is talk about the W, it brings them down and upsets them. It was true and I wish I had learnt my lesson back then. But then again saying that, I would also think a best friend is there to help support me at times, especially these dark times. But alas, it didn't happen, or maybe he simply wasn't the best friend I thought he was.
And maybe I am just rambling on as well.

I wouldn't consider her my best friend, though I think she'd like to be. She's very clingy and I've got to be careful what I say in case I upset her. If I upset her, she posts on FB about how her friends treat her and then everyone sympathises with her. I did try and tell her a few home truths one time and she did stop texting for a while. She started texting me last week and I sorta hinted that I like to just chill in the evening and not have a conversation by text. Of course she took offence at this, but is still my friend and hasn't text as much this week.
She will write things like "Are you and your son watching x factor?" or "what sort of music do you like?". She sent me one of those silly texts today, the ones that say "send this to 5 people and you will be loved". I just ignored it! I really really can't stand those texts! lol.
Oh yes, and she does like to talk about herself and her problems and doesn't really listen to me. My eyes start glazing over after a bit, lol. She texted me one time and said "do you think I'm boring?". I said of course not and she said only sometimes I think you're not listening to me! It was probably after she'd been at my house for a couple of hours and she was prattling on about her dog and I was thinking I wish she'd just leave, lol.
Anyway HWA, you got me in rant mode, lol. Grrrrr smile

Ok NQ got the rant out of my system now, lol. I passed my exams that I took this morning, so off to the German market and cinema tomorrow smile
My HM friend texted again this morning to say she's free now so she can meet me after all. I'd already made alternative plans, so I told her that sorry I couldn't meet her now and then told her in great detail why I couldn't meet her, lol. Just to stop her getting the hump with me and showing her that I was genuinely busy and not making excuses smile She texted back and said ok see you soon and put some kisses at the end so I knew she didn't have the hump with me smile
My other college friend was there today and moaned at me for complaining about her to the tutor. She said that I take things too much to heart and I need to lighten up a bit. Ha! me lighten up, that's a joke! she's the one with the problems! Anyway, I just said sorry and when we were about to do the exam, she looked up and we smiled at each other so I think she's ok with me now smile I asked if she wanted to come with us tomorrow, but she's skint frown
I texted H this morning to say he had some post, got back home to find it was still there. Well I've told him now so he can't blame me if it's important!
I'm off out again shortly, my son has got a presentation with the project work he's been doing. I've not invited H as when my son invited him he said well I'll take you but I'm not taking mum. Charming! I forgot to remind him it was on, whoopsie smile hehe smile Well it wouldn't be the first time he's missed his son's award presentations.
So all's well at the mo in my world smile

Congratulations on passing your exams. I think you deserve to treat yourself for that smile.

You reached out to your college friend by inviting her to join you and you apologized, so the ball is now in her court.

Whoops indeed. LOL. Nice move! laugh

Enjoy the market and the cinema smile

Thanks NQ smile My son mentioned that he'd mentioned to his dad on Sunday about the award ceremony but he's forgotten where it was. I said well I suppose I better ring him then! My son said no mum don't bother, but I rang him anyway. Turns out he can't come anyway as he's got "man flu", but asked me to take some photos. I told him I passed my exams and he said you didn't text me to tell me that! I said to him well I didn't think you'd be interested. I didn't wait for an answer to that, I change the subject quickly. Goodness! it must be Christmas for him to be interested in my exam results! lol.

Hope you and your son enjoy his award ceremony.

The award ceremony was good smile Typical of our youth centre, they wanted to photocopy their certificates before they hand them out! So now my son has got to wait for his certificate. Why? I ask myself, the mind boggles smile All the other districts in the area just gave their certs out. big sigh!
Would love to hear your jokes regarding man flu Pud smile One thing's for certain, if men had monthlies, they would be in bed for a week every month, lol. Why do you think women have babies? Can you imagine if the men did! lol.

Hmmmmm. Maybe I better skedaddle on out of here.... I'm feeling some man-flu sniffles coming on and this place seems to be hostile towards my particular gender at the moment. grin

What movie did you see?

I learned a new Brit-slang term! Had to look up "have the hump" - have/get the hump seems to have some other connotations, too....

Also, I love skint. Sounds more intense than broke. And since I'm the definition of it this pay period, skint it is!

laugh
