Ha, ha, Portia, I can’t help but to picture the boxed ears…

Linda, this is what I envision all the time too. You having a good time in England and your H seating on the couch with his remote because his visa didn’t go through. Let’s hope that at least two people (Portia and me) thinking about the same thing will make it come alive. Anybody else wants to join?

I just thought of something Linda...you work at a hospital, so they HAVE to have biohazard HAZMAT suits and gear, right? Maybe borrow one and wear it around the house when H is around..you know, to protect him and all?

Or maybe give it to HIM...?

Whatyathink?

Thanks guys! It's pretty special to have (germy contagious) friends who are so supportive. T2, he makes me feel like I DO need a hazmat suit sometimes. But I think you guys are right, and I need to regain my sense of humor and laugh at his antics.

You're right, uR, all of our spouses are pretty darn lucky that any of us tolerate them at all, and don't divorce their sorry a$$es like 90% of the population would do.

H has been very friendly to me today. He even came down to see if my office is too hot after he turned a dehumidifier on. But I feel sort of cool towards him, fed up . Not rage like you Portia, but I sure don't feel much like playing the lovely wife game today.

Yikes, and H made an illegal delicious deep fried fish dinner, definitely NOT following his RT-imposed guidelines. Strange...

Linda, you feel what you feel and feelings are never right or wrong.

I suspect you will see some "stuff" from now til his trip, my friend.

He's going to be a little all over the place.

You just keep walking your path. Leave him to his crazyness.

Linda,

Crikey!! Your H is nutso....never heard that one in MLC High. Maybe Ms. Snodderly will give us a pop quiz on that one. Hey every one..pssssttt...here's my old, ratty cheat sheet for the pop-quiz

Know what...it's perfectly okay to glare at the MLCer if they do pull such stunts because they NEED to know that you deserve respect and not cross that boundary. If my DXW had done that to me, I've have given her an icy stare. You doooo not want to see my icy stare!

Hey you guys, I'm howling here with all of the responses to the remote trick. Linda, I think you should find some superglue and while he's sleeping, attach it to his hand so that he won't have to search for it the next time he needs to touch you.

It sounds like you're doing well Linda. The posters here are right, humor is the best medicine. I came here tonight for that very reason. My h is making rumblings about the big D so I needed to refocus my attention to something more positive and knew I'd find it here.

There is the most gorgeous sunrise here - firey red sky.

Thanks for making me feel better about glaring at H, Wonka, and I hope I am never on the receiving end of your icy stare. I usually just walk away when H does something mean, but think I'll practice an icy glare to accompany retreat. We all do deserve to be treated with respect despite our spouses' MLC.

NLT, I'm sorry your H is considering D. You know that is his crazy OW prompting that. Ignore, stall. Don't take your rings off smile

H was translating some whacky Russian love triangle soap opera on TV for me last night. He was explaining why the hero was jealous that his wife was with another man after he'd turned his back on her, and said very plaintatively "people can change their minds about their relationships you know." I hope he's changing his mind about his relationship with the Tramp already. Time will tell.but I bet you're right uR, and he will be all over the place until his trip. Probably when he gets home too, right? I'll just have to borrow a safety helmet to add to T2's safety goggles!

I forgot to ask -- I agree to that I should adhere to very limited contact during H's Russian trip. But he'll be over there for our wedding anniversary. Does that deserve a text?

I'd have to say probably not because it most likely would look like pursuit to your H. And truly, it will be your 39th anniversary and as such "deserves" way more than a text sent while H is with OW. Is this the thread with the pants leg analogy?

I'm so sorry Linda frown Your H is being a huge ass. (((hugs)))

Thanks J. Yes, hanging onto his pants leg, with him dragging me across the floor. No anniversary text then. His huge ass-like-ness is hurtful, but you know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. And the sooner he falls, the sooner he'll hit the bottom, and be able to start to claw his way out of this tunnel. And finally graduate from MLC High!
