Okay we have been talking on some other threads about the MLCer wearing another "suit of clothes" so to speak.

Speaking of clothes, H just came home wearing the most ridiculous shirt I have ever seen. He took off his coat and came in the living room where D and I were sitting and I could not stop staring. And that's not a good thing either. I'm sorry but it's horrible. What is he thinking?!?!? It's pink and peach plaid. Yes. Plaid. H would never have been caught dead wearing that before. I need sunglasses. I am having a hard time keeping a straight face.

On a serious note D's daycare sent home forms to sign her up for summer care. Now she will be six years old and they are charging $20 more a week than last year plus a $75 field trip fee plus the cost of swim lessons and a swim pass plus transportation fees. I tried discussing this with H and I got no where except for him to say "that's ridiculous and unaffordable." No kidding. I was pushing to get his input since he is on the board of directors of that daycare and I thought he might have some feedback. Nada. He turned his attention to his iPad and off into another world. And so it goes. At least he's not spewing.

D fell asleep on the couch by me and S is at the waterpark with a school club so it's basically me and H. Awkward!!! : /

Keep in mind though, this is the outward indication of the turmoil and change going on. I recall seeing similar. Recently when I saw ex she was back to dressing more like her mom

One of the hallmarks of this journey is watching them "try on other personalities" like a suit. Sometimes that comes out as trying new clothes that previously they never would have been caught dead wearing. They likely would have previously said derogatory things about such clothes.

And at least it wasn't a dress

Lol! AJ you make me laugh!! Although he did let D and S do his makeup and hair on Easter Sunday. I guess you just never know. And I did notice he is using Salon brand "hair wax" and conditioner. I guess he's turned into more of a pretty boy. Someone he would have made fun of a few years ago.

I am learning to laugh about it. Trying not to laugh in front of him though. I don't think he would see the humor.

I did notice when my ex was here he was all gelled up with hair gel. He would have never used real "products" in his hair before.

I would have had to laugh at the orange and plaid shirt that is crazy!!

Completely opposite the previous person in many cases. I think if you look back in the archives, you'll seem outlandish behavior all over the place. Good stuff you just cannot make up.

I concur with the "suits" My H dresses like he a 15-20year old...I am going to say like the pop boy band One Direction...in clothes my S14 would wear. I have noticed and never said anything.

Funny story, but he was dressed like this on Easter. And when my 30yr old brother saw him, he pulled me aside and said "WTF is he wearing, he looks ridiculous...that is not H, I don't know who he is trying to be, but that is not H"...all I could do was shake my head and smile...and then laugh when I was alone, because he did look ridiculous.

I stand corrected. It's not pink. It's "apricot".

Pink or apricot...it still doesn't sound like a good combination, but they are mixing up all of the colors. I can't even imagine a grown man wearing that unless he's on some island on vacation. LOL! Oops! He is on vacation...he's on the Mother Ship circling the orbit.

I've enjoyed keeping up your thread. And I think the clothes thing is crazy too!

I had forgotten that last Easter my H went to a public event wearing large Easter bunny ears. Soon after that, he went to an event at a boat club dressed like a pirate, eye patch, earrings and all. Not to mention another event where he purposely bought clothes two sizes to small to show off his new physique. I thought it would never end! And FB profile pics to flaunt all.

I'm so glad he DIDN'T try some of the other things that crossed his mind

But now, he looks pretty normal. His hair is longer than it was, but nicely styled. His new beard is nicely trimmed. He picks out all his own clothes now and really they are nice and tasteful.

Yes, there IS light at the end of the tunnel

Thanks rH. It's good to hear from someone at the other end of the tunnel. If I didn't have you all to compare notes with I would feel like I am going crazy. Now I know it's just part of the game.

One day I hope he burns that shirt. Ugh!
