your spouse is doing the same thing mine is....trying to push all their crap off onto someone else, in this case, you. There is absolutely NOTHING you can do about this but support them and hope they can see the light. That said, you should definitely stop candy-coating your dealings with them, and ALWAYS SPEAK YOUR MIND. Become very opinionated and stick to your guns. Doing so will either force your spouse to deal with their crap or it will run them off. Either way, you will be a happier person in the long run.
They have excuses for everything don't they! Some excuses are actually legitimate, however, there is NO EXCUSE for a spouse to allow their old crap to infiltrate their marriage. Your spouse does not need a spouse right now, they need a therapist STAT!!!!!
A little more insight into the ways of an HD. An HDs heart does not beat the same as an LDs. It does not go bu-bum bu-bum bu-bum it goes I-love-you I-love-you I-love-you. Every single heart beat is sending love around our bodies. Sometimes our mouths get in on the rhythm and out it comes "I love you". I'm guessing that your H tells you he loves you at the most ridiculous or inappropriate times. He can't help it because his body is telling him every second of his life. A lot of HDs will tell you that they are thinking about sex every second of the day. They are not actually, they are thinking about love every second of the day. HD's will tell you that their ideal would be sex every day with the occasional chill-out day and that is what they are striving for... but I am going to issue a challenge to all HD guys out there. You may be surprised by the response, Corrie.
