Hello Weniki,
Thank you for your post. I am sure we could have some interesting stories to compare. Have met mostly good people, in fact no downright bad ones, but one or two with issues, but then again, don't we all have those?

Hopefully your up and down days are becoming more routine, and life is settling in. Any good plans for the upcoming holidays?

Hey Gunny!
My holiday plans are still in the one step at a time area. I skipped my Christmas card last year, I guess this year I'd better send one out.

If I can get my son to do this I do want to take our boat over to the Big Island before we sell it. Boy do I hate the thought of selling the boat.....

My recent trip to the yoga camp really did a lot for my attitude. I just need to keep moving on. I have always enjoyed your quote at the bottom of your signature.

Catch me on the alt if you want to tell crazy dating stories!

Aloha, Wendy

Happy thanksgiving to all on here! This is my second holiday spent without my x. Last year was well, horrible. This year, much better. There is still a lingering sadness for what might have been, and fond memories of holidays past, but no more crushing depression. So, as they say, time does much to heal old wounds. I think living here in nj, and desling daily with victims of the recent storms who in many cases have lost most of thrir material posessions, but, crucially, not their spirit, has also done much to keep things in perspective! Sorry for typos, phones have their own mind ;-)

Hey barb,
Thanks for the good words. Hope you had a happy holiday.
Does anyone else out there have any one year later summations they would like to share?

Hey Doug!

Maybe the one year later summations are too painful to share?!?

I did a re-read of all my posts, and all my journals recently. My one year summation would be: DAMN, I wasted a year of my life when I should have been moving on!

Like, I no longer have the crushing depression. Just a lingering saddness, a kind of deja vu feeling sometimes. My happy memories are mine, and I will keep them! And I plan to go on and keep creating more!

PS Smart phone, my foot!

one year later was so long ago smile

I remember being scared and still raw and so grateful that I was ALONE and working on myself.

some people really miss the companionship and I admit, I did miss that but I was so not ready to be with anyone else and I remember finally starting to really enjoy being with myself smile

NOTE**

Both Fig and myself registered a LONG time ago (for me it was Nov 2001) but we had to reregister 3 years ago after a bit of a clash with the powers that be here. So we have been at this for a long, long time.
