Rick that's awesome! Do you share taste in music with your D? Could you ask for recommendations? Maybe share some of your favorite stuff from way back when? I raided my dad's collection of classic rock when I was around your D's age.
Cool thing about learning guitar now is youtube - pick a song you like and someone's there teaching it. You and D can find something easy and she can help you learn it. I agree, learning to read music is not necessary. I read music but most guitar music online is in TABs which are just pictures of where your fingers should go. This is one of my GALs too! (Doesn't help with my kids tho)

Yeah we gonna get band together. My D gave me 1st lesson Saturday. Truthfully I have never hard her playing the guitar. She is very shy about some things. I learned why? She plays her tunes very softly. I was surprised at how good she is. so lopoint forward tinkles lessons. Mach promised to sign some Adeles songs. lol
