What's the best way to cook and serve bow-tie pasta.

I've hear it's an aphrodisiac.

ok, ok, ok... I have some great recipes!

Toast

take one slice of bread
place in toaster
start toaster

if toaster starts to smoke, use manual lift to bring out toast

AND

Cheesy Toast

Using toast recipe, make toast
Once toast is removed from toaster, cover most burnt side with a cheese spread

Makes for awesome "to go" snack!

sheesh KD, you can surely do better than that!!

here's a good one when you feel like being "nice" to the WAS. i got the idea from my 10 yr old, who wanted to do it for h for x'mas last year. at his family's x'mas, there is an orange in everyone's x'mas stocking, and everyone always eats theirs (i know, sorry, wrong time of the year)

ingredients:
1 orange
syringe with needle
lots and lots of chili powder
a little water or OJ

recipe:
mix chili powder with water or oj, to make a paste that's thin enough to pass through the needle. Fill the syringe, and inject the mixture into the orange through the skin. place in WAS's x'mas stocking, if possible or offer it to them when they stop by at other times of the year.

make sure you mark the skin so you don't eat it by mistake!!

see, you don't even need a toaster!!!!

so - i'm the serious sort, that when one asks a question, i take it literally!!

here's my easy chicken dinner - takes about 5-10 mins to put together and throw in the oven and then there's nothing else to do. i use a large rectangular pyrex dish

chicken thighs and legs - throw them in dish
splash balsamic vinegar and olive oil over them
add quartered (big pieces, or whole small potatoes) potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes
whole garlic cloves, unpeeled
whole carrots peeled
1 tbsp of mixed herbs (herbes de provence)
sprinkle black pepper over all if you like
add water - about a quarter to half inch in the bottom of the dish

cover with foil - i bake in the bottom rack of the oven at 425 for 25 mins, then down to 350 for 15 mins. then take of the foil and let the chic brown (if you're in a hurry stick it under the broiler)
if the veggies start drying out too much, turn them in the liquid that's at the bottom

when it's nice and brown, pull out and serve it.

happy cooking!!

ok.. here's a recipe i use to make when i was just starting out..

-chop chicken breast (or thighs.. whatever) into cubes.
-saute w/ garlic and olive oil. remove chicken and put aside. -add condensed cream of mushroom soup to pot and thin w/ milk or water. not too much or it becomes soup! simmer..
-add chopped up red bell pepper slices and sliced mushrooms.. -then stir in penne pasta (or you can use bowtie if you so desire).
yummy.. creamy pasta. and cheap!
