Hmm... I agree you got what you gave in this one. But know what? I get it. Holding it in wasn't working for you either, right?

As you mentioned, you can't hurt her anymore. You can't say the "wrong" thing, but you can feed the troll so to speak. You can help fuel her fire to run further. You did. And you didn't. She played you on that one, amigo. But I don't see the harm, only the waste of time.

The good side is that you got it off your chest, though. Really doesn't matter other than that. Right? wink

No need to be part of this anymore, T2. The house? Maybe you can move back in if it's your responsibility? Not sure what your options are there. Hopefully she signed you off the note. I assume your lawyer made that part of the deal? So this couldn't happen AND ruin you financially.

You are trying to control by the way. You're expectation is that she'll be a better parent to the kids. Your way.

That won't happen amigo. Has to play out like it will play out.

I know, I've tried as well. Got the same. But I expected what I got and did it for very controlling and specific reasons to get a particular outcome. I'm not proud of that, but I did it anyway. Distasteful and keeps me locked in. I don't like that, but feel it was worth it. It was. I don't do that any longer and have not for a very long time.

Whatever you learn from this, learn that anger makes you controllable which is not good. smile

And learn that you cannot say or do the wrong thing when it comes to ex. Those are her decisions. You're trying to reason with a what? A four year old? You know better. wink
