Thanks Rick! I have always enjoyed my S. We've become pretty close.

Yep, that's right. 5 ladies. Cooking for them was definitely outside my comfort zone, but nobody died and they seem to appreciate having a man cook for them. grin

Yesterday evening my W had my S. I didn't see her when she picked him up. I did talk to her on the phone, though. It was a pretty decent conversation. These decent conversations to tend to shake my ambivalence at times. She was asking if I would be able to get my S on the bus every day for a few weeks - she would drop him off in the morning well before the bus comes. I agreed to it for my S's sake. The more I think about it, the more I think it could be to my advantage in the long run.

My GAL'ing last night was my Tuesday night group at church. This is my Ladies' group. We're trying to recruit some other guys to come, but there's not many guys with enough guts to come to such a group, or something. confused

This morning it was cold out again - 24 degrees. Too cold and too high of a danger for ice for a ride. I need to let my body recover from my run yesterday. So I was relegated to walking 2 miles this morning.

I had a run in with my S this morning. I guess my W didn't feed him breakfast. I was a little frustrated with her about that, and I'll have to confess - I took it out on my S a bit. However, again, the more I've thought this through, it could be to my advantage to be the parent who makes sure my S has breakfast in the morning, even if I take a small hit on the grocery bill. I will further establish a stable home for him. If my W decides that it's a good idea for some reason for my S to change schools and move, I will have an even stronger case for that not to happen. Hope it never comes to that, I just like to be prepared. smirk

I had my S on Wednesday evening. We worked on some requirements for Cub Scouts and spent the rest of the evening playing Wii in the basement.

Thursday I worked from home. I smuggled in Chipotle for my S at lunch. I stayed for recess. I love my 5th grade friends. smile

My W came by to pick up my S. I was really a good interaction. Nothing spectacular or anything happened. At least these good interactions will do nothing but benefit my S. I'm still feeling ambivalent for the most part. I have a better than average interaction with my W and it'll shake my ambivalence from time to time.

GAL'ing last night was Thursday night Men's group at church. It was an excellent group meeting. I even had a buddy from another group show up last night. On the way home, I talked with one of the ladies from my Tuesday night group.

When I got home last night, I had some work to do. It was a balmy January evening with the temperature around 44 degrees. So about 11:45 last night, I took a 26 mile bike ride under the stars and moon. crazy I wanted to get my longer ride out of the way because I'll have my S this weekend. I can't think of the last time I've been able to ride a longer ride in January.

I love night-time walking or running, so night-time biking must have been awesome! You go, JB! (Also glad to hear that you're man enough to fully enjoy the ladies' group. Much to be learned from the opposite sex!)

Hey JB,
How are things going? Was the weather nice enough there this weekend to get a good ride in?

Hey jb, saw the movie Ides of March over the weekend and thought of you. Lots of exteriors shot in Cincy, which I guess is full circle for George Clooney. I can remember watching Nick Clooney doing the news.

Hope all is well with you.

WCF, labug, gunny, and Rick.

Thanks for checking in on me! I do lurk occasionally even when I don't have time to post. I have just been very busy. I had also been finding myself staying up extremely late, just to post, and that's not particularly healthy if I do it all the time.

I will try to get in a post a good update. At least so far, nothing earth shattering. I'm continuing to get my exercise. I've added another church group to my GAL'ing - I'm pretty excited about that.

Thanks WCF. It's pretty serene being out there at night. It's also a little dangerous, because if something were to happen, I'd be at risk if I needed help. Yes, you're right - there's a ton to be learned from the opposite sex. I am blessed to have made some very good friends who can be brutally honest if needed.
