GOALS FOR 2004

1) I weight XXX pounds. I maintain this by having healthy eating habits (low carb lifestyle) and a regular exercise routine.

2) I am driving a beautiful dark blue 97 Chevrolet Venture 7 seater van, and it is in TIP TOP condition and I am able to repair it immediately should anything unforseen happens.

3) I make $24,000 a year in the medical equipment specialist field. I am happy to be helping a segment of the population that is in desperate need of the services I provide.

4) I have written a LOW CARB cookbook with easy recipes for putting a family on the LOW CARB lifestyle, and the recipes are so good that your family will thank you daily for them!

5) I can carry on a simple conversation with a spanish speaking person.

6) My spiritual life is amazing. It includes daily bible reading, regular bible study meetings, regular bible discussions with all of my children on the principles found therein, and I share the good news I learn with others who will listen. I also meditate each and every day on the things that I have learned to make me a better person. I also concentrate on my blessings each and everyday, and for reminders sake, I post at least three positives a day in a journal.

7) I am an incredibly social person. I have taken up sports activities that I enjoy and participate in them regularly. I engage in social events that coincide with my business and my likes in general. This also includes areas of entertainment that I enjoy (karaoke, concerts, blues bands, outdoor festivities).

8) I am taking courses to learn things that are new for me - things that I would enjoy as a paying hobby. (choice between doing nails and massage therapy)

9) My home is a HOME - it is clutter free. It is comfortable with things that surround me that I find beautiful and that I love. I have a gorgeous garden with flowers that I enjoy looking at. I have a container garden with vegetables and herbs that I harvest regularly.

10) I am a SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPEALADOCIOUS WOMAN - I think, feel, act, talk and dress like a beautiful lady - a SOUTHERN BELLE if you will. I am a superb mother, daughter, family member, wife and friend. I have unconditional love for all of those that I come into contact with but I show extreme compassion to those that are related to me. I dwell only on solutions that can make my life better in the future. I choose to be happy each and every day and also show gratitude to GOD the he has granted me this peace, this serenity, and this blessed life.

kitti: since you are a Southern Belle, would you please tell Odga how much time does one have to let pass before getting married again. In other words, when is it correct to remarry your former spouse? Just to give the man an idea of how long does he have to wait to re-propose...

I am sure it is in their unwritten manual of ladylike conduct somewhere...

Well, you gave me some EASY examples!! Yea... can I hijack here?

1. I am still a size 2 from the hard earned weight loss from my Hs trauma. But, I have augmented my small shape with exercise and now have a hard body. Weight is not important, as long as I can continue to wear my sexy stretch jeans and fit into a bikini this summer.

2. My H gave me a beautiful car at the end of 2003 and it looks the same as it did then because I have taken immaculate care of it and instructed my kids to do so, too.

3. In the beautiful car we have taken some awesome road trips to see our beautiful country and bonded well before my oldest son is too independent and off to college.

4. I have taken the test and become a certified teacher. I am looking into teaching Science in high school. I have maintained my professional license and am doing some volunteer work to brush up on my knowledge and skills.

5. I am doing the hobbies that I love, including rug hooking. I have finished the Statue of Liberty rug for my entry. I have hung up all the pictures that I want to and organized the garage. I have redone the guest bathroom. I still go to hooking every other week and commune with the wonderful women there.

6. I continue to pray each morning (okay, all day), read my Bible daily and participate in Sunday School, my small group, my reunion group and Bible Study Fellowship. I maintain these friendships by calling, helping and listening to these Christian friends. I listen to their advice, too. I keep working on talking to the kids about he Golden Rule and the wonder of Jesus Christ.

7. I continue to volunteer and am making sure that others know I am available to volunteer to help out when needed.

8. I am planning many social events for my family, including the theater. I am a great entertainer and people know my house as somewhere fun to come home to.

9. I am a true Fly lady and feel good about my home. My kids know about 15 minutes and are good about picking up after themselves. They are learning to do their laundry and to help with dinner. My garden is full of zinnias that I cut and have throughout the house with plenty left over for the neighbors. The neighbors are hiding when I bring them more vegetables and herbs with recipes to use the veggies and herbs with. They are NOT asking to come over and use the pool, however...

10. My H is home and glad to be here. We have a loving, warm relationship that is so much more alive and well than it ever was before. He is comfortable spending time at home and out with his friends and hobbies. We have a warm, loving R with our kids, who know what happened and what true love really is. He no longer wonders if I am acting nice, but knows that I have changed into a warm, loving person who realizes the importance of God, forgiveness, and love in her life.

many might find this strange based on the fact that i am in a divorce busting site, that i would choose a financial goal as a goal that i believe would have the most impact in my life if i achieved it

i believe this for a variety of reasons, but number one, i believe that in order for me to truly DETACH from my sitch, i need to be financially independent. and i can do that with $24,000 a year in wages to support me and my daughter. not living high of the hog mind you, but living.

my deadline:
december 31, 2004

make a plan:
get training
get the equipment
get the proper forms
get the marketing strategies
get the lists together of stats for population that needs this service

take action on my plan:
i have already taken action by getting the sufficient training to start this. i have all the forms necessary on my computer ready for printing. i have all the e equipment necessary to start.

today's action:
start getting scripts ready for sales calls

*****************************************

{b]POSITIVES

1) husband called to ask me to start a list for grocery shopping for the next week, looks like he is here another week

2) husband was wondering if i was going out of town (told him i might with the kids) - i decided not to cause the cousins are sick and i don't wanna deal with that again - he said he would rather we stayed home anyway

3) got a goodbye hug, didn't initiate this time, so i threw in a kiss for good measure

STEP TWO - PLAN EVERY DAY IN ADVANCE

Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now. - Alan Lakein

always work from a list. when something new comes up, add it to the list before you do it. you can increase your productivity and output by 25 percent or more from the first day that you begin working consistantly from a list.

first, create a master list on which you write down everything you can think of that you want to do sometime in the future. this is the place where you capture every idea that comes to you and every new task or responsibility that comes up. you can sort out the items later

second, you should have a monthly list that you make up at the end of the month for the month ahead. this may contain items transferred from your master list.

third, you should have a weekly list where you plan your entire week in advance. this is a list that is under construction as you go thru the current week

finally, you should transfer items from your monthly and weekly lists onto your daily list. these are the specific activities that you are going to accomplish the following day.

• one of the most important rules of personal effectiveness is the 10/90 rule. this rule says that the first 10 percent of the time that you spend planning and organizing your work, before you begin, will save you as much as 90 percent of the time in getting the job done once you get started.

ASSIGNMENT - EAT THAT FROG

begin today to plan every day, week, and month in advance. take a notepad or sheet of paper and make a list of everything you have to do in the next twentyfour hours. add to your list as new items come up. make a list of all your projects, the big multi-task jobs that are important to your future

lay out each of your major goals, projects, or tasks by PRIORITY, what is most important, and by SEQUENCE, what has to be done first, what comes second, and so forth. start with the end in mind and work backward

think on paper! always work from a list. you'll be amazed at how much more productive you become and how much easier it is to eat your frog
