Thing is, I could get over all that if he moved a LITTLE to help

if you continue to think this way, you will get nowhere. your forgiveness cannot be based on whether or not he is doing things that befit that forgiveness - you have to forgive solely on the fact that you forgive

in the lord's prayer, jesus taught us to ask for forgiveness of OUR sins and for those that sin against us. he never added - "but only if they do things that shows that they are sorry for what they did, becuase how can you forgive someone if they don't prove they are sorry"

remember, forgiveness is a gift you give YOURSELF

and once you TRULY forgive, no matter what your husband does, things only then can get better

And that is where I have done wrong; I always thought someone had to either say they are sorry or prove they are sorry. I never forgave my SIL for what she did and look where it got me; her wrath; making sure her brother found some else to replace me.

makes you think eh deb?

and also - how many of us are TRULY deserving of forgiveness from god? why do you think jesus wrote in the MODEL prayer for us to pray each and every day for forgiveness because he knew that we would committ SOME kind of sin daily

and does god look at us and say, oops, nope, not gonna do it, can't forgive you this day cause i know GOOD AND WELL that YOU are going to commit this wrong again, maybe even twice, so i am gonna hold my forgiveness from you

yup, something to think about

KK,

Got really excited this morning at work, we are wireless now, but that's not why I'm excited.

After many days of research I finally got somewhere. Was looking for patterns for victorian dresses and any vintage dress patterns, bingo! They are so awesome! The patterns are not cheap. But I want to make one or two dresses so I can take pictures of them. I want to make wedding dresses that are based on the past~vintage. No modern dresses. It will be my trademark. Very excited!

ok, i was just about ready to come to the board with a HUGE rant that started like this
Quote:

i will not allow the fact that his work truck has something wrong with the transmission AGAIN and it is now in the shop, and he took my car to work to make me have a bad day

but i just discovered that i missed a day of my anti depressents and that is probably the reason that i am in a bit of a bitter mood right now

POSITIVES

1) first time in about a month that hubby attended our bible study last night! was nice to go as entire family again

2) hubby got a movie for daughter yesterday and wanted us all to watch it last night late, that was fun

3) i had a list a mile long yesterday and i accomplished everything on it - WOO HOO

Ok Kitti, and all you other AMAZING people on this board I'm trying to catch up with everyone after being away for a while, and good grief! Your goals are so inspirational! I want to join in, but have one question? When do you all have the time to get so much accomplished? After reading this BB, numerous other books since the bomb, developing a closer walk with God, and joining flylady, I feel like I am on the verge of a real life-changing breakthrough, but on most days I get very little done. It's amazing how much you all are teaching me!

Thank you, as always for the inspiration!
