I get to take D9 to her "meet the teacher" on Wed. My W is "out of town", so this will be the first time I'll be in contact with FIL since... I think, May...

I'm considering letting H do "first day of school" drop off alone with S7 - I have an early meeting I'd really prefer not to miss. I'll see how S7 feels about the idea.

Done with the open house. It went well - I was pleasant and slightly chatty with H. He was also pleasant.

He seemed to hang out for a bit after S7 and I departed - not sure why, wonder if it was for nefarious reasons. Not sure what those reasons could be, but I don't trust him very much right now.

Bleh. Mail asking about paperwork is not a great way to start the morning.

Responded - said no time for meetings right now (true, thanks to the "bb" or "breast bump"), but asked him to send me what he has.

My friend T is making a valiant effort to cheer me up.

I said, "I guess I'm just sad that he replaced me so quickly."

He said, "If you lost your job and they decided to give a chimpanzee your desk, would that really be 'replacing you'?"

He's a good guy.

AG, yes it hurts, I have faith it'll gradually hurt less.
