I feel for you man.

But let me say something now, and don't take this as being cold.

Can you see how your behavior is now working against you?

Will misery and self doubt bring you closer to your goal or further away?

This behavior has now cost you your job. Do you want it to cost you your M as well?

If you think by me saying this I think it is easy, you'd be wrong. But if you can realize it is simple, then you'd be right.

Everyone knows the saying about getting back on the horse.

What are you going to do?

I took 3 days off to "work from home" after I found out about H's affair. I still have bad hours at work, although no bad days.

For me, it really helped to tell a few strategic people - my boss, my direct reports - the high-level overview of things.

Honestly, my job has been a lifeline - keeps me distracted, keeps my self-esteem up. Is there any chance you can turn this into just a leave of absence?
