Thank you everyone for the advice. I did not send him the letter. He talked to me last night and again this morning about D's issues. I feel a closeness and openess I have not felt in months. He is very concerned.
If I did what I originally set out to do, we would not be talking peacefully, rather it would have been recriminations and blaming.
