I am supposed to go out tonight with some old friends/co-workers. They are going to be in my neck of the woods tonight but I hate to say that I started feeling a little flu-like at work and may not be able to go. Sad as I'd really like to them and I really need a fun night out!

Courageous, I do hope you get feeling better. I was in the same situation last night but ended up going out anyway and feel no worse for the wear. I think sometimes a pick up in spirits can help to fend off some sickness as long as you can get some rest afterwards.

Too bad you couldn't make it out CW, but I understand. I grabbled with the idea a lot last night and if H wasn't coming over to watch the kids, I may have bailed too with how I was feeling but in the long run, was glad I didn't. I hope you are feeling better and there is always another girl's night out!

I certainly hope you don't have a bug coming on. I had one last weekend and was miserable the whole time. But it brings up a thoughtful question:

Does anyone else ever feel guilty about their GAL trips and outings? I always feel anxious, as if I am about to do something behind H's back. Even though I know that is ridiculous.

In answer to your question..I don't feel guilty about outings or galing. I am not doing anything to be ashamed of! I might feel guilty if I felt like I was leaving my kids all the time!

For weeks, H has just dropped the kids off and left so I haven't bothered getting all spruced up the last few times...well, wouldn't you know today he came in!

I had taken a shower and fixed my hair and had minimal makeup on but was in my comfy sweats...oh well.

Apparently "I" need to fill out the insurance verification form and mail it.

He did ask about the aquarium and if it was working ok.

That is it.

Ah courageous, don't you hate it when they catch you off guard. Oh well, I'm sure you were just as dazzling in your comfy sweats so don't sweat it LOL.

Well, got the phone call I have been waiting for...our L's have agreed on a day and time for our settlement conference. It is a week from Friday so I have some time to get myself psyched.

I will be honest...was really hoping, hoping, hoping that it would be put off or not happen at all...has definitely put a damper on my day
