pookie... Just so you know, JTB has been on the other side of this fence. One might not throw stones without knowing the whole story.
I believe Puppy helped more than he hurt, though I didn't always agree with him. On the other hand, he knew from the time that he became Puppy that there was a line that couldn't be crossed. It may be true that the line wasn't always clear, and it may well be that the moderators could, or should, have stepped in before things got to this point. But, they didn't.
As Greek said, Puppy would own it, he knew it could happen one day. Probably even surprised it took this long!
As much as I want to jump in and defend J3B I will not. He is a big boy and can defend himself.
I think you are missing the point.
Puppy was banned - the reasons are irrelevant at least IMO. What is relevent is that he come back; hence J3B suggestion that you contact the Mod's.
I have not always agreed with Puppy BUT I can see just how much he cared about the people on these boards and although I did not always agree, the people on these boards need him.
Rather than debate who should be posting where or who is who - let's use that energy to try and get Pup back.
At the end of the day ....why are we here?
To learn
To help
To support
Pup did all of that!
Hey Puppy - if your reading this...I hope ya come back.

Hard to say for sure, especially with everything gone.
A quick summary of the story is that PDT was (at least) his second incarnation. He walked close to the line (you can agree or disagree with the line, I disagree with plenty myself), both before and after. Once he decided to "leave", I expect he didn't worry so much about not stepping over the line. Without seeing what he posted, we will never know, but I expect he knew what would happen.
It would not shock me if after things have cooled, he is given the opportunity to return. Whether he will take it or not, I don't know.
I don't need to defend Mr. JTB, but I will anyway. He's about the most straight-up guy on the board, and what many would call a success story besides. If he posts on your thread, you should feel pretty good about it. And he is not a huge fan of many actions the mods have taken at various times in the past few years.
Day in and day out, with all the Newcomers, same advice, same patience same get your self esteem back.
I was/am in awe of him.
I asked him once how he did it.
Mostly cut and paste he said.
Almost every day he helped the sorriest of the sorry, the wretched likes we were/are when we first come here. Teaching other guys through words and more importantly example of how to walk like John F-ing Wayne.
New Comers needs him back.
Edit - oh yeah Puppy farts don't smell like roses either. I figure a part of him is smiling an the other part is groaning. Seriusly though, if you are upset tell them.

i have to laugh and say .. what does all of this have to do with my post?!
it's okay .. i got my answer.
hijack away.
unfortunately, i don't think puppy will ever get a chance to see this unless he logs on from someone else's computer. i mean .. they blocked his ip!
puppy is also a man of his word. he did not like the kind of advice that was given on a thread once and opted to leave. and leave he did. when puppy imposes a boundary, he stands by it. integrity. that's what made puppy, puppy.
it's also part of the db philosophy. so for those who think he's not preaching db, he does it through action.
just a thought .. puppy is now a WAD (walk-away db-er). one of the first things you're told not to do is beg, plead, and declare your undying love for him. it's very unattractive. how would you apply db principles to get him back? what have we learned about db-ing that can't be applied here?
pup-meister, if you happen to read this .. i hope you get a good laugh.
sincerely, the worst db-er to ever grace these boards.

LMAO! Nice DFM! I almost wrote a similar post earlier. Almost went and found Sandi2's Do's and Don't List to attach.
I don't read minds. I did offer a guess based on things that had transpired here, and the posts from the moderator this morning.
It was only a week ago that mischaracterizations of affair intervention (or exposure) were the subject of several threads (re: "Comando style exposure" or some other ridiculous charicature), and those starting some of those threads obviously had an axe to grind and very strong opinions.
Those opposing intervention offered strawmen rather than deal with the advice given in the infidelity forum, and relying on fallacies makes me suspicous of people and their intentions.
So that's my guess. Like it or don't like it. It is what it is.
