Foundation is being poured this week. A real structure! Can you believe it? Windows are all on order. Doors are still TBA. The next big issue is the kitchen. Appliances, countertops, cabinets, and on and on. Can't wait to pick out those cabinet knobs... We closed on the old house yesterday so I am officially homeless. The "chateau" is, shall we say, cozy, so we're both excited to see visible progress on the new place.
Today is W's birthday. I got her some diamond earrings to replace a pair she lost some time during our separation. The ones she lost were my first Christmas present to her and she used to wear them all the time. SD and I baked her a cake and are taking her out to dinner tonight. We're still talking about a new baby. I'd need to get my vas reversed if we went ahead. When I think about this year, my head spins.

Found out today that my XW (1st marriage, mother of D14) is getting remarried. I actually had a nice conversation with her, gave my congratulations, and wished her my best. This was the most civil conversation I have had with her in years. I swear, this DB thing is contagious - it may help even the most poisoned R's.
