Good Stuff on keeping an interesting life and staying busy. I had girl scouts and cub scouts today and tomorrow I take both kids to their new school building at an earlier time and further away. I've decided to make most of their lunches tonight as it can be chaos in the morning to make their lunch (I give them too much) and crack the whip so they get moving along so as to not be late.
Getting that MRI message seems weird. You should let Dan know that you would like him to inform his health provider his new phone number and address.
Apparently the day my divorce was final, my X had a huge "girl anatomy" operation. She paid it all up front but somehow the hospital made a billing mistake and since my X was still on my insurance, I was presumed to be responsible. They sent me a letter that showed what the operation was and demanding I pay up. I called them up and told them that I was divorced and it was the first time I had heard of what her operation was for and that I thought such things were to be kept confidential. Dead silence on the line for about 10 seconds. I let XW know about it and told her that they were not good at keeping patient confidentiality and she could tear them a new one.
Oh Kerry...did I mention the Ducks were on the big screen at the Luau?? Kind of awesome that they had a big screen tv on the deck the whole evening.
Well I had offered to Dan that I could get kids from daycare if his MRI-thing took a long time this afternoon. It was scheduled for 4:00. Figured I would keep the spirit of friendiness even if he didn't always reciprocate!
He texted an hour ago, asking if he could just update me at five depending on the status of things. I said fine. Then, he just texted again a couple minutes ago to tell me that the hospital called and the MRI machine broke? So he has to reschedule. That sucks, what if someone had an emergency? "Sorry, no MRIs today?" That would suck!
I actually didn't see his text at first. I walked out for dismissal after school and came in to a text from GG. Hoping I was having a nice Monday. When I closed the msg it showed I had another, so apparently Dan had texted right before. Did I mention that he basically loathes GG? The two of them were on the boys' golf team together in HS. Plus GG was a wrestler and Dan can't stand wrestlers. For some odd reason, knowing this makes me smile a little more...

Dan gives out your data on purpose.
Yes, the kissing was nice. I am soooo ready to do that again! And yes it is going to get crazy. I have held off having my kids in 'organized' sports as long as possible, because as I child I did not get into that stuff until I was around 8. And that was just summer softball. We didn't have basketball/football/volleyball leagues when I was a kid until junior high.... Granted I was in dance starting at age 4, but that was just one night a week.
Well, sadly, in this day and age, Nathan needs to start doing some sports in 2nd grade or he will not be part of the 'group'....ours is a small town where the coaches start eyeballing kids that young for future middle school and high school potential. Blah.
Anyway Nathan chose swim lessons and YMCA basketball league, which starts next month. Sydney chose dancing over swim lessons, and also tumbling. So she will have 2 activities and Nathan will have 2 activities...yikes! Along with my weekly night class and trying to help out at church w/youth group.
I agree, Dan must be giving out my info on purpose. How could you go to the doctor as often as he has in the last 18 months, fill out paperwork, and NOT update your contact info??? I think when he lived with his parents he did it so THEY would not get calls and mail, since his mom is so overbearing as it is, he didn't want them knowing his health issues. However, enough is enough. I don't see why he is still doing it....
Wow, your kids just now started school? You guys are lucky! Granted, I am already 4 weeks in so only 32 to go.
I am loving this preschool thing. Who knew I could get paid salary for going in and playing? Of course it is more than that, but a lot of the time is spent singing, dancing, and teaching the important stuff--like how to play dominoes and how to use glue sticks. (Note to boy this morning--DO NOT remove the entire glue stick from the base!!!!)
I really don't know who was the better golfer. We started going out in late March but weren't an 'item' until May, when golf was basically over. Then Dan graduated and GG had another year to play. I couldn't cheer at golf matches, so I didn't go to them. OK, I was in track, too, so that would make it hard!
However, GG did go to Golf School in Southern California after college, so he is most likely a much better golfer than Dan now... He said that after surviving his first earthquake he left the golf pro job behind and headed back to the midwest.
