I forgot to ask you how you treated your plantar fasciitis. I have had it in my right foot for 2 months now and can barely walk some mornings let alone do any exercise that involves my feet. That screws me out of any cardio and I'm feeling the effects of that drastically. HELP!

Try getting a tennis ball and rolling the bottom of your foot over it with reasonable pressure. It helped me - maybe it will help you. Also, once you get back into running, don't do too much too quickly or it will flare up again.

I'll try the tennis ball Purple. Thanks. I've used a frozen water bottle, Ibuprofen, and stretches but maybe the tennis ball will do the trick! Thanks!
Oh....and I don't EVER run! LOL I do the eliptical though and lots of walking.

I had really bad plantar fascitis. I did all sorts of things, stretching, physical therapy, pain meds, orthotics, etc... Nothing made much of a difference.
Then, they made me night splints for my feet. These were kind of half-casts that I strapped to my legs that went on the bottom of my feel up the back of my calf to hold my foot in a stretched boot position overnight (if that makes sense).
Relief was nearly immediate. I used them for a few months, and then never needed them again.
I think night splints are available OTC now. Not sure if they work as well as the custom ones, but I think they'd be worth a try. And, if you have health insurance, the orthopedist's nurse should really be able to make them for you on the spot.
WOW! I'm going to start calling around about those! Thanks OT! I don't have health insurance so that option is out but anything I can find OTC is awesome! I've tried the orthotic inserts in my shoe but they aren't helping at all.

Just searched for night splints at Amazon, looks like there are many options.
But, WARNING, I saw some called "soft" night splints that looked like some sort of stretchy/bandy contraption. I'd avoid anything like that, they look like a big waste of money. Instead, get something with a real frame that is really going to hold your foot in place like a cast, even if it is padded. It shouldn't really move once you have your foot strapped in properly. I don't think the frameless ones would help much...
I just did the same and found some pretty good looking ones with a hard back and all sorts of straps and whatnot to tighten them up. About $40 isn't bad especially if it helps and I can get back to my regular exercise. It's killing me to not have any cardio!!!

Yep, I did therapy for my wrists, exercises, hot wax, ice packs. No improvement. Wearing wrist sprints while I slept for a few weeks fixed 'em right up.
