GREAT JOB BBJ!

I liked the way you stated it without accusing him of attempting to have an inappropriate R with you or being a stalker. Well done.

Thanks all. Well he hasn't tried to call me, so that's good. I did get a friend request from his carpet cleaning company yesterday and ignored it. Then got one today and ignored it...

No time to talk getting kids ready to leave for the weekend with their dad. They are camping! Then we turn around and leave Monday a.m. for Chicago. He knew this was the plan so kind of bummed that they will be exhausted from camping and worn out for our trip. But hey it's his weekend, his plans! smile

Also yard sale prep still underway, lots to do and not enough time!

Relax, the kids will be fine! Are you guys driving or flying? Either way the kids will nap on their way there.

So long day of yard sale prep. I swear all the hours of work for like $150-$250 of reward! Sigh...however my house will be less cluttered which is awesome and kids will have fun money for Chicago.

Dan came around 12:30 to pick up kids' fishing poles and camp chairs. I told him he could. Some things you buy two of and some I just don't worry about it and we share. Well 30 minutes later my mom (she was in helping with sale stuff) hollers up to me, "Dan's back where are the bike helmets?"

So I guess old habits die hard. I went rushing out the front door figuring he was all pissy for running behind. Although camping has no check-in time so I guess you can't really run behind there. smile Anyway I hurried out and called out to him that they were in the shed. I had moved all the bikes and bike stuff to my shed so the garage had more space...

So I hurried around the side of the house and was telling him (10 feet in front of me) where they were in the shed. He says, "Relax, it's fine. I am in no hurry." In a pleasant way. I was shocked, that's the kind of thing that usually gets him pissed off for the day. So he got the helmets, I said have fun, and off they went. Me and mom, back to work!

We had lunch late (almost 3:00) when we had a stopping point so she could go home--I just had to go do some more of my own stuff... I took her out for Mexican and we talked about her family during lunch. She actually cried which I can't believe, over Felon uncle, his treatment of others in the family, etc. I know I am not her therapist but actually since I have been going to IC and learning how to deal with my 'toxic' family of origin, it has been easier to talk to mom about family stuff. She is acknowledging (finally) that there is a lot of messed up stuff there.

My IC warned things are reaching a tipping point (F. Uncle got on my BILs facebook page and pressured him about who his 'friends' were just like he did with a cousin last week) and that allegiance lines will most likely be drawn. She wants to talk about this at our next session.

I have been chatting (via text) a lot with my awesome guy friend. He is out in the dating world after his own divorce. I have been giving advice/pep talks from a female pov. It is so nice to 'talk' to a man who is one of the good guys.

I had one bad moment today...actually around midnight. I got a box marked "household" out of the garage that I hadn't opened since we moved. Went through it to see what I could sell. Several old picture frames in styles I don't use anymore, don't match my decor, etc. I took photos out to put in albums and marked the frames. Then I came upon several of those old Wal-Mart photo booklets they used to give you to keep a roll of photos in (do they still do that? I get pics thru Snapfish now!)...

Anyway there were four books of our wedding pictures, 3 books of us renovating our first house, getting our first dog, all the newlywed stuff. And a photo album from college--I need to post some of my Pom Squad pics. I used to be pretty cute! wink

So all of a sudden I saw of pic of us with genuine smiles on our faces, not fake camera smiles, with our arms around each other. We were probably 20 or so...and I just burst into tears and sobbed for about 5-10 minutes looking through that album. I guess I am still grieving? Felt like a setback but maybe it is more of a step forward that I can grieve and acknowledge that it's really over...

On the plus side it helped reinforce that I am not romanticizing our past. In the beginning, we were really good together. And our love was real, not in my head. That helps me, to know that even if it is gone, it was real...

I'm with you. For our last anniversary together I scanned in a bunch of pictures from our early albums (STBXW is a scrapbooker). Then I got audio of the girls and I looking at the pictures -- they were hilarious. A friend at work made it into a nice 10 minute CD.

STBXW told me she did not want me to spend any money on her so this was a way around it.

She hated the CD. Just hated it. The girls wanted to watch it over and over again. She told me later that was the "last" straw. It was like I was trying to convince her she was making a mistake.

Sigh.

I still have the photos on a CD at work. I really like the wedding photos. Not a hint of doubt on either of our faces. I also like a picture taken right after D11 was born. That was three years in and all I see is pure happiness. Now, according to STBXW, she's saying she'd already been having doubts for two years by then.

It hurts, but deep down I don't believe her.

Yeah we will have to get some deep dish while we are there. All you chicagoans, do you have a favorite place to get pizza?? smile My son's favorite food...

Just closed up shop on Day #1 of the sale. My sister made $53.25 and I made $70.50. Add that to the $80 I made the other night when the yard sale stalker came and bought a ton of nathan's clothes, and I have hit my goal of $150!! smile So tomorrow's profits will just be gravy...

Well it just downpoured to end the afternoon, had to drag tables frantically into the garage. Found out I have the best neighbors though. The one across the street told me I could park in her drive during the sale to leave room on the street for shoppers (and the sale was set up in my driveway).

Then during the downpour my next door neighbor came over and he threw a tarp over all the tables I hadn't managed to drag in! Aww! I returned the favor by answering his question. He was replacing the brake lights in his car and wanted to know "what those white lights are for"...Ummm that is when you are in reverse...He said, "Oh, good, I will put it in reverse and you can tell me if they light up." laugh First time I have EVER known more about a car than a guy!

So now time to decompress. Thanks to downpour too wet to mow. Besides I mowed front/sides yesterday to look good for the sale! Think I will nap as it is good napping weather, gray and overcast. Then I may book a massage since I have a membership and get one 'free' every month. After being up till 3:30 on Weds/Thurs and 2:45 last night, I need to relax! smile

Oh and funny/coincidental. After I was all mopey last night, I got a text from Dan at 2:20 a.m.! "we are checked in to (motel name) in Harlan" (town outside state park where they were going to camp. I replied, "Oh, is it raining there?" He replies, "Yeah the world is about to unload on us." Then "Big storms coming." I just replied "Well hope for sun tomorrow".

What timing, he has them on a 3 day vacation and it rained last night and rained again today...I actually want them to have fun though. No one likes a bummer vacation. Granted he could order in pizza and a movie or take them swimming at the Y and they'd be happy...
