Bit of a downer yesterday. The OW apparently went to all the in-laws farms and met them. Apparently WAW also knows I've been in her emails, although still hasn't changed her password - silly woman.

Am annoyed with myself that it has dampened my mood. The sMIL was even more adamant that I must just move on and forget about them. She seemed less supportive of me than previously, I wonder what WAW and OW said to her during their visit, aside of telling sMIL when asked that their relationship definitely didn't begin until several weeks after the bomb. But I know different to that. sMIL said OW seemed very genteel and polite and nice enough.

I don't what she was expecting - I'd told her that OW was a master of manipulation and always very well spoken.

Trying to concentrate on the impending date next week, and having fun tonight.

Hey Lees-

I'm sorry that the news on OW/inlaws brought you down, but you know, it is just going to be that way for awhile.

A good fun event; news of WAS and OW brings you down; Spamalot will bring you up! and then something else will bring you down.

It's just the darn roller coaster, and eventually it smooths out. Breathing, focus on you, be aware of All or Nothing thinking--all that self-help stuff that does really help.

You have the added stress of working with OW, but the fact that you can hold it together thru that shows your strength.

Keep up the positive stuff. Drop out of WAW email...that's just torturing yourself.

Word up for Scottish lads and lassies!

Never rains but it pours. Let down by friend for tonight, and friend who is staying here now has to go home tomorrow for job interview.

Not heard from the datee for next week in over 24hrs which is odd, as prior to that it has been incessant contact! Trying not to get too curious about this.

Positive, positive, positive

Having a lot of fun up in Scotland. Alas have not yet managed to persuade any kilted studs to come back for you Aver!

Datee has indeed been in touch, and we were up chatting till 0230 so all is good. Can't wait for our trip out to the theatre at the end of next week.

Off out kiting this evening, and a few bits and bobs and some shopping to do today.

Back out the hammock in the sun now!

OK--and the roller coaster is back up! good! But I still want my stud-in-kilt.

"kiting"? I might try not to assume that means "flying a kite"--you know the thing on a string that you get into the air--but kite flying is a serious sport in Afghanistan, so maybe it is in GB, too. What do I know from this side of the pond?

Keep adding up the positives, lees. Over time, they make up a whole new life.

Happy late-night chatting with your datee!

Hi Aver!

Am working hard on getting that stud for you.

Kiting to me means being dragged along the beach/waves by a large power kite with or without board attached. The session this week was with an extremely nice lady who has never done it before, but was quite the natural. In fact seem to have spent rather a lot of time with her this week - cinema on Tues, kiting Thur, and today we spent the day walking in the local hills. Really good fun. No idea if it will go anywhere, but I really enjoy her company, and she's one helluva looker! Have arranged to do another weekend of crazy outdoors stuff in a couple of weeks time. As a born and bred Scot, she may be the best route to those kilted fellas. And as a PE teacher she organises things like Highland Games, so I will do my best!

Positives are indeed seemingly thick and fast. My neighbours and I seemed to manage to spend a mammoth 12 hrs in the pub gassing and getting drunk yesterday. Fantastic day/evening/night!

Everyone I meet here seems to want me to stay - locals, nice ladies, me.....Still think I need to stick out the last 2 yrs of my training contract first though. Then I will return to the place I love the most.

OMG

The WAW and OW are "getting married" in September. We won't be divorced by then. The same friends that came to our wedding are providing the photography and other help.

I feel sick.

Please let it all end.

I know you're hurting. That's terrible news to get.

Not sure how they think they're getting married since W is already married to you. Whatever. At least now you know who your true friends are.

This all sucks and it hurts like hell. The best thing to do is to deal with the pain because you WILL get through it and you will be a stronger, wiser person for it.

Keep your focus on yourself. Do what it takes to make yourself a better person, understand how your actions contributed to the situation so you won't make the same mistakes next time. Do things that make you happy. There are plenty of fish in the sea and there are others out there who will appreciate and love you for who you are and will want to be a good partner for life.

If you love somebody, set them free.

They are just clinically insane.

And making even bigger fools of themselves.

As JacT pointed out. If they really want to be committed (fine choice of word in my opinion) then they'd be waiting till they could do it legally, in 2.2 yrs time.
