As I mentioned before I still read these boards (mainly CL’s thread) but I’ve not posted since last June as our M is a lot less volatile than it was through the troubled times. W can still be a pain but I can pretty much handle everything she throws at me. I think I managed to get things on track when I exposed everything that had happened between us in dramatic fashion to W parents. Since then W has been normal and I haven’t seen any evidence of OP in the background. The other thing to focus W’s mind is FIL’s condition, his cancer has spread to some untreatable area’s and he has spent a lot of time in hospital, W spends more time with him as we don’t know how long he has left, 2011 could be his last year.
The other thing which used to give me trouble was our finances, I’ve finally opened my eyes to the debt we are in and I am making strides towards getting things balanced, W has been surprisingly supportive in our efforts. It will take us a long time to be debt free but I am now budgeting things much better.
So at the moment we are living life just as any other couple with the usual ups’ and downs, I’ll probably start a new thread for 2011 with some updates but I don’t really get the urge to post as things which happen don’t seem dramatic anymore.
Anyway I’ll always be indebted to you for your help in the early days and I’d like to finish by wishing you and anyone who reads this a very happy new year.
