I had to ask him for tuition for our youngest this year. Each time tuition was do (paid it in quarterly installments) I wrote a brief business letter, dated and signed with 2 lines - basically "Ashley's tuition of$______ is due on _____________ as you are aware. Please remit your share (I always left that part open in the off chance he might remit more - LOL! by then. Thank you." Amazingly, the checks (for 1/3 -don't ask) did arrive and on time. I always sent a copy of the full tuition bill and kept a copy of the letter for my records. No further discussion. Just "show me the money".
I am also in a new R for 6 years now. He could not believe the screaming that went on prior to this.
