"If you ever need something holler. Maybe not help with your taxes though. I'd do more harm than good there. Maybe if you have a soldier that sucks at his rifle qual. I could help with that.
I do have one question. Do you know any lawyers that do some pro bono work in the discrimination field? I know a guy whose wife was just fired from her job. She is on time and doesn't have bad performance reviews. He thinks it's because she's 6 months pregnant. They've got two kids already. I don't know if it is discrimination but would you know anybody that could at least have a sit down with them? He's a really good guy and I know sometimes life just sucks but if's not her fault I'd hate to see them lose their house because a corporation doesn't want to pay for maturnity leave."

Roger seems to think that I should reply to his question just to be polite. He thinks it's cool that he respects my professional opion (at least that's what he gets from it). I'm not sure I do, but I have a biased opinion LOL.
Draft response:
It's called family status discrimination. It's not just about the maternity leave, it's also cuz all her benefits (health insurance, dental, etc) will cost them more. Or it could be because of layoffs. Hard to say.
I don't know anyone in the field. Tell him to go through the phone book and find someone that will do a free consultation (most attorneys will). Also, get someone who will either do it pro bono or contingency fee (that means they take a % of the settlement if they win, but get nothing if they lose the case). He should be able to find someone who won't require any money up front if the case is halfway decent (if she has copies of her good performance reviews that would weigh hugely in her favor of course). Hope things work out for them okay.

Well, I sent basically what was above before I left for the weekend.
Had a blast at the concert. xSIL and I had fun. Got a lil pink (it was 88 Saturday and 92 Sunday and there was very little shade to be found) but we were good about applying the sunscreen.
The concerts ranged from just okay to totally awesome. Sugarland was GREAT. Keith Urban was, as always awesome. This was my third time seeing him. Phil Vassar is very underrated and totally awesome. Billy Currington was okay.
The opening band Sunday pretty much sucked LOL. They needed to fire their sound guy for sure. A new lead singer wouldn't hurt either. They had some good musicians though. Brooks & Dunn totally rocked!!! And Toby Keith was pretty good (B&D were better though LOL).
I totally didn't want to go back to work yesterday since I'd just flown home and was beat. But I'm surviving work LOL.
Got the medicine cabinet assembled and hung in the bathroom last night. It was a bit entertaining. Got one screw in the stud, had to do a toggle bolt on the other. Took 2 tries to get the toggle bolt in and tight. Stripped out one screw and had to drill it out. Finally finished at like 10 last night. So glad it's done! Will post some house update pics on FB this week!

Sounds like a rockin' good time Michelle!!! As you know, I am slightly Keith Urban obsessed. He is amazing. I've never seen B&D or Toby Keith in concert but have seen the rest of those including Phil Vassar. You are so right about him. He deserves a lot more credit.
WTG on the med cabinet! Wanna come hang the shelf that fell off Marc's wall????? LOL!

The festival was called Stagecoach. It's held in Indio, CA (way out in the So Cal desert past Palm Springs). So I flew from here to Long Beach, then drove out with xSIL. About a 3 hr drive, but we chit chatted on the drive, so it was nice.
I'm on too much of a budget to get a lot of things professionally done. So me and Roger give it a good try. That one was definitely a two person job, one person to hold it in place and level and one person to try and get the hardware to work LOL. If he hadn't been around I probably would have called my mom LOL. It really looks nice, so I'm happy about it.
Mish - you figure out how I'm getting there and I'll bring my tool kit!

Those concerts sound great! I got to go see Brooks and Dunn at the Houston Rodeo 3 years ago with W. It was a record crowd for them. I don't like Houston much but they can do a rodeo. Good times.

Lol. Good concerts make the location worth it sometimes.
Had a great 3 day weekend. Drove down to Pismo Beach and Roger worked on teaching me to surf! I am SO sore! But it was a blast! Had a lot more success on the bodyboard than longboard (almost got to my knees once!). Got some fun waves on the bodyboard. On the very last one Sunday morning I actually got to do a little turning!

Glad you had fun! That isn't on my bucket list. Salt water and this kat under water don't do so good! lol But I think I am going to slowly start working on my list, nowhere does it say I have to do all that stuff with my kids, cause I couldn't afford it! lol
