Hey Goldey. Change your thinking and words - you want cheerleaders you don't need them. You are complete just the way you are. You can handle it.

stop smoking is goodness. use the money you will save on a gift for you the first month.

Cheers

Good luck with quitting! Take it one day at a time.....stay strong! From what I have read on your threads you are a strong person who does what needs to get done...this is just one more thing to get done!!!

Coach,
I had an 'aha' as I was reading BBJ's statement about giving up the Superhero cape.
I think I get it now. It's okay to just be me. I don't have to entertain the crowd, or put on a happy face when things suck. I am just as happy being alone, as I am in a crowded room.
All along, I've been trying to rescue the wrong people. And been deathly afraid of asking for what I truly need. I need help. I want off the roller coaster.
I've learned how to tell the difference between I want (shiny objects) and I need (a loan or grant to retain atty).
Right now, my friends, I need sleep.

I understand that, it is one of my "snakes on a brain." That can conjur up some very bad images. It takes more than just telling yourself you are worth it. Think thru why it's good and healthy for you to ask for what you need.

A - Adversity "I have ___________ problem."

B- Belief (replace old dysfunctional belief with new productive one) "I have a plan and can carry out the first two steps this morning."

C - Consequence "Goldey is getting her needs met by taking care of herself."

real friends will help when you need help with no expectations

Your job is to be the best Goldey you can. The journey still has a long way to go. You can handle it.

Cheers

Goldey -

The most important thing right now is to stay off your foot, otherwise you are going to have serious long term disabilty problems. I know you feel there are other things that need attending to, but you really need to get healed physically first.
