Cutter, I use sparkpeople too when I actually do it. I find that's the only reliable way for me to diet because if I know I have to write it down I think twice before putting it in my mouth.

MF, how on earth does that dinner not equal 1900 calories alone? Did you starve yourself for the rest of the day? LOL! Seriously, this is why I don't drink. Too many empty calories. I'd rather have another snack than a cocktail. And when I do drink I try to stick to red wine so at least I can say I'm being heart healthy. smile

Kerry, I love thisiswhyyourefat. But it really makes me hungry seeing all the bacon. Mmmm, bacon.

Oh, forgot to mention....MF, you've inspired me. I found a 5K near my house in mid-May so I'm going to register and start training!

If you like bacon, you might want to try this recipe which I tried - oh so yummy...

Is bacon still a meat if you sprinkle bits of it on a salad?

OMG Kerry! That looks soooo good! I don't have a smoker though. Tell you what, next time I hit PDX for a weekend I'll let you know. You throw one of those bad boys together and I'll bring the beer.

Sigh. This is why I gave up fried food for Lent. I can totally go overboard when it comes to Bacon.

Which reminds me...Kerry, have you tried Bakon Vodka? I got a bottle the last time I was in Seattle. Makes great bloody marys.

One of the gourmet chocolate stores here in town started selling chocolate-covered bacon this year for special holidays. I haven't tried it.

I'd love to try that. I have tried the chocolate bar with bacon bits in them. It's nice but I'd like to have a better bacon/chocolate ratio.

I dont have a smoker either. I just used the oven at 200F and it came out great. I also recently made burger jerky in the oven and it is great too.

I dont drink, but the bacon vodka may be worth starting drinkin for. I wonder...why does no one make a clam chowder flavored booze, ice cream or cologne? I love clam chowder.

I gotta find a place that sells this:

You can find Baconnaise at many grocery stores. They list Fred Meyer on their page but it's not always at every store. I don't have it but I do have the Bacon Salt which I got at Albertson's. My friend Janet has the Baconnaise and loves it.

Heading to Fred Meyer right now for lunch and to check on the Baconnaise. It should be great for the kids lunches. I will just tell them it is pudding.
