Write down all your questions before getting to your L's office...
"how does this work"? "what happens next"? "what's the timeline"? "what are the possible costs" etc...
There are things that you will want to know that the L won't volunteer. They do this stuff every day and the little nuances don't even register with them like they will with you. They sometimes just do their job without explaining it.
