Happy Valentine's Day, to all the Rockettes, and anyone else that happens by.
I was a bit surprised today, I felt a bit melancholy. Not a huge deal, but I was wishing that there was someone to share the day with. I've got the greatest virtual friends in the world, some of them I have met in one form or another, but it's just not the same! Anyway, I wasn't expecting that, but I'm ok.
I wanted to go to the driving range today, but before I got out I coughed a little throat clearing type cough, and hurt myself! Did something to something in my ribs. It's a little better now, though I sneezed a while ago and almost fell on the floor. And any coughing is a very bad idea. Hopefully it will mend quickly.
Took myself out for dinner, overdid it a little, but it's ok. And got new sheets and mattress cover for my bed, since the old ones were not deep enough for my new mattress. The sheets are kind of a burgundy color, so now I want a new comforter. But that is going to have to wait!
Welcome to the aging male club. I have my rotatator give me intense pain sometimes when doing a simple task of turning the steering wheel when driving.
You know you are getting old when coughing, sneezing, hicupping, burping, and flatulence causes bodily injuries. We need to get you a "Fragile. Handle With Care" sign to put around your neck.
I bought myself a new pair of pants today. Without the help of the opposite sex!

Jeff, we should have kept each other company yesterday! I had a little bit of a rough one too. I had such grand plans to not even think about it one time but the idiot decided it was appropriate to send me a Happy Valentine's Day text at 9:30 in the morning so the rest of it was downhill. I cleaned my house and watched the Olympics all day. Took my mind off of it.
Clear your throat and damage a rib? Yep, been there. It was more of a hard hiccup that strained something in my neck. CRAZY! It took about a week before that went away. Ah, the joys of getting a little older and wiser...our bodies just can't handle all the knowledge we're packed full of so they rebel against us in the only way they can. LOL!

I know that, Kalni! That's why I was surprised that I was bothered even a little. Even if it is a commercialized day, it's still nice to have someone to tell you love them. But, it will happen!

My rib is a little, tiny bit, better today. I didn't sleep great, but it wasn't terrible, either. I'm cautiosly optimistic that it will be pretty much better by the weekend.
Speaking of the weekend.... the golf Match Play tournament is in the Tucson area this week. I'd been thinking of getting tickets, but between spending money I really don't have, and using vacation from work that I will wish I had later, I'd decided not to go. But.... a gas station I go to now and then had a drawing that I entered a while ago. I got a call this morning, and I've won a pair of tickets for the final next Sunday! I have not idea what I will do with the second ticket, maybe one of the kids will want to go, but then what about the other one? I'll figure that out later! Now I am thinking of trying to get a ticket for Thursday, or possibly Friday. The good thing is the weather is supposed to be good all week, lots of sun, upper 60's to low 70's!
Any match ladies out there like golf?? My neck still hurts from sleeping wrong two days ago! Last night it was so hard to sleep, wound up flat on my back with no pillow and a heating pad...

I was just over in the lab, I coughed wrong and it hurt like crazy! I put my head down, and just said, "Give me a minute!" The guys I was working with said I turned red, I think I was not wanting to breathe. Now it just hurts, I almost feel like something moved when I coughed, and it actually might have gone back where it belongs. But that's just based on what it felt like. It sure felt like there was a pop. YUCK!

That is so great, I hope you have fun! I can't wait to get out and golf again once the weather gets warm. Now that I have new clubs it is fun! If I ever get this budget thingy figured out I will save up some money and fly to AZ for a golf weekend...
Hope you didn't actually tear something, Jeff! That is awful, for it to hurt so much when you cough...When I strained my ab muscle a couple weeks ago sneezing was torture!
My XH cracked 2 ribs coughing when he had bronchitis. Served him right lol.
Sounds like you pulled an intercostal muscle. Take care of yourself! Motrin is good since it's an anti-inflammatory. Topricin is a topical rub that helps speed healing.
