Jeepers, Pam, you're not giving David any space to post here!!!

I thought I read something above about "staying off of each other's threads???"

I know, I know...you want to put some of the stuff where he can read it, but I don't know if he'll feel comfy asking stuff of us here knowing you're checking in regularly. And, honestly, Pam, there just might be things I might write to David more freely if I though it was just him I was writing to....like on your thrad. Just a thought.

Personally, I'd find it VERY hard to stay away from a thread if CJ started one!!!

WELCOME DAVID!!!!!

Please DO post back to us. I might also suggest a peak at my "tips for newcomers to piecing" thread. Just a compilation of stuff a bunch of us have contributed.

David, I have to say that I've come to care a great deal about you and Pam. Her thread is FAR from a "bashing David" deal.

I can SOOO relate to your gastro troubles of late...have you ever been checked out for this? My inclination is IBS (CJ has it too and when stresses hit...he RUNS for the bathroom ). I, myself, suffered for over a decade from the more serious Ulcerative Colitis....the motto for IBD is "The Pain is REAL"...

So any questions you may have on that front...FIRE AWAY!

Also, I'm curious as to how YOU are feeling emotionally at this time. Seems to me that it must be INCREDIBLY tough to not be certain about your R with Pam, and have to deal with her sometimes fragile sometimes volatile emotional states.

For what it's worth, she is REALLY working at identifying, preventing and dealing with her "emotional meltdowns".

She KNOWS that these only serve to further your doubts, and add to your burden. They don't bring her closer to her goals of being a more stable person, of building a new and much better R with you.

I have never met you David, but from what Pam writes, I already like and respect you.

Hang around, you may get to like it here!

So David is here ? I"m glad:)Welcome!
David, I'm sure you will be able to read here many things that might be helpful to you in regards to your own situation and how you might be feeling right now.

Pam, I know I am not in the best of moods right now,and certainly not in the best way to post today, but I just wanted to say hi, and thanks for those positive thoughts:)

HI David!

Just got finished chewing your W out for posting all over "your" thread...only to find out it's really HER thread and a place for you to "get your bb feet wet"!

She is quite adamant that if/when you decide to start your own thread she WILL stay clear of it!

That's good as I'd like to be as free and honest in posting to you as I am to her.

Hope you're getting some much needed rest this weekend!

Guess who???

Oh boy, now I'M filling up this thread...

Pam mentioned her missing bottle opener a while back. I know that many anti-D's recommend that one "should not" consume alcohol while on the meds.

I just pulled out my handy "Pill Book" and found that there IS such a warning for Zoloft. Interestingly, my Anti-D, Celexa says: "Celexa does NOT increase the effects of alcohol, however it is considered unwise to mix Celexa with alcohol or any other medication that affects the brain."....Wouldn't my anti-anxiety meds count there...? Yet the combo WORKS for me.

Now I'm curious about CJ's Anti-D...Serzone...this one says to consult your doctor before combining it with alcohol.

So there's a lot of mixed advice here! I BELIEVE that what tends to happen (but apparently NOT with Celexa ) is that the meds can make you feel drunker sooner.

It's NOT that the alcohol impedes the action of the drug in boosting serotonin.

SOOOO I really don't think the odd glass or two of vino would be a problem for Pam...in fact it just might help take the edge off at times!

On the other hand, she has mentioned perhaps trying another anti-D so maybe one of these with fewer counter indications might be worth a try.

NOW I think it's entirely possible that you fear that alcohol might just disinhibit Pam, or make her more impulsive...hence more likely to "do something" to herself.

Is this part of your concern?

I DID check and one thing that should ease your mind is that overdosing on SSRI's is far less lethal than the older type anti-D's. That's one of the reasons they've taken over the market.

The symptoms of OD sound nearly self-correcting: Anxiety, Dilated pupils, rapid heartbeat, sleepiness and VOMITTING.

Talk about a cheeseless tunnel! (DB talk for pointless effort)

Hello everyone.

It's "PSLuke's H" here. I wanted to thank everyone for welcoming me to the BB, and thank everyone for the help you're giving Pam.

I'm not sure how much I'll be posting yet, but I agreed to sign-on and post in exchange for Pam dropping the suicidal talk and plan making.

A while back, I was doing quite a bit of thread reading. I'd stopped doing that for a while, but have started up a little again.

Catch you guys later

Welcome CHL,

LOL--can you eat 50 eggs? Too funny, my H and I were just talking about this movie not to long ago.

My H would never in a million years log on, join, want any part of something like this, so I commend you for taking the intiative.

I've never seen it either, but since it is something that is obviosly of interest to your h that he would choose it for a screen name and even quote lines from it I'd suggest you see it at least once.

Hi LL,

Good Point!!

You know when you finish your thread you aren't going to totally go away are you?

Your posts always make good sense and you don't beat around the bush or sugar coat them!!!

I know sometimes I NEED that and I bet a lot of folks on here do also.

Hey CHL,

You could have knocked me over with a feather when I got home from grocery and signed onto the BB!!!

So inquiring minds want to know, Can you eat 50 eggs? So are they cooked or raw?

I didn't realize that was where we were on bb posting, but I have been working very hard on kicking the S thoughts out or talking back to them as Sage has said to do to my ASSuming thoughts. Still have work to do but if it is worth doing it is worth working on!

I saw Shiny had recommended reading a thread she had started but she didn't give you the link to it so I dug it up and am going to post it here in case you want to take a look at it sometime.

Also going to post the link to the thread where the housewarming is Monday!

BTW: Like the screen name.

House Warming Monday!
