W and I sat down three weeks ago and agreed on several things. She said she had to check on a couple of things. Low and behold, I get her divorce petition in the mail and she went back on one major thing I said I wanted.

She said she can't afford to take any less than she's getting now and she feels I tricked her into the meeting.

So two days later I wrote a check for $1,500 to retain a lawyer and am borrowing another $1,000 from my credit union for the rest.

That was money I set aside to help pay for my daughters summer camps. The end of the school year is sneaking up and neither of us has any money for their summer stuff.

I was driving to work thinking about how she complained about bills on Wednesday. We were always broke when we were together, I can't believe she didn't think things would get worse now that we're having to support two households.

You need a L one way or another. You also need a budget, so children's expenses and L money are two different line items.
